Looking for help please. Weve changed the aux belt, tensioner, and idle pull (genuine kit from Renault Wolverhampton). Everything seemed fine. Then 10 miles down the road the tensioner is rubbing on the belt as it comes of the power steering pully. So ordered another new belt (air con version) and refited. Still seems to close. Pictures are below. Can't work out whats wrong! Any ideas?

Looks too close to me but I am no expert with belts and tensioners.

A post on CS shows the aux belt on a removed engine.

Still got issues with this and looks like we are going to get a specialist to take a look. At the same time we are going to have the timing belt, and water pump replaced. I phoned Mick @ Diamond and the earliest he can fit us in is 25th May! Based in Banbury there aren't too many options that I can see fairly local to me. Anyone have any experience of RS Four Ashes in Wolverhampton? I'm keen to entrust the belts to someone that knows what they are doing and has a good reputation.

I've been thinking about this Dave. It's hard to advise anything without having a poke at your car. My tensioner is also fairly close to the power steering pump pulley but this is normal, however, my aux tensioner looks to be in a different position to yours, the pully wheel is more inline with the tensioner, if that makes sense, similar to the picture bearne has posted. My best guess is that the belt is too tight which is causing the tensioner to sit incorrectly, for what reason I don't know.
