So there was an issue with a set of Sachs that went to BG motorsport for a refurbishment and BG said they could not supply the part that has failed.

The part "ONLY" comes if you buy a new genuine shock from renault, BG have spoken to Sachs Race Engineering & Renault UK and confirmed this part can not be had.

The part that I'm talking about is the plastic top cap that helps protect the piston and the top of the damper, As these are plastic they can crack and there is no way to replace them until now.

I have managed to get these made up to 100% exact spec, size & shape. I myself have bought a set along with another user for our Sachs dampers

These are Priced @ £23.50 per cap, for a pair of caps you are looking at the price of £47.00 plus postage to Uk Mainland.

Here is the cap itself along with the e-mail from BG.

"One of the plastic caps is broken and you need two new shafts.

Shafts are not a problem and you already know they are £120 incl. vat each. The problem we have is the plastic cap, we do not have anyway of replacing this.

I have double checked with Renault Uk and this is their response.

“This cap comes as part of the shock absorber themselves and we can’t get them separately I’m afraid!"

I've got a genuine spare one sat around somewhere...
They look spot on, great effort Marc.

(I'll even include the BRAND NEW passenger Sachs for FREE)

I would like to add i have NOT yet got these caps.

The pictures above are the Genuine Caps from sachs dampers and NOT the copies i have had made up.

I will post pictures in the next 3/4 days once i have collected them.

Collected these last night and going for a trial fit tomorrow but they are exact and spot on.

There is a slight issues which we are trying to resolve just now.
Sachs that get powder coated are a few mm thicker due to the power, There is another trial set getting made but i will update this once they have been done and once again tested.
