Well as the title suggests #338 is up for sale. Posting on here first before I open up to a wider audience. Our journey has come to an end as James (my Son) will be 17 at the end of April and much that he would love to continue driving it (this time on public roads) it’s neither practical or indeed cost effective! We need to get him something more sensible, of course we could just keep it in the garage but it simply wouldn’t get used - aside from a day or two in September. It’s been fantastic getting it to the condition it’s now in and hopefully it will sell to someone who will continue to love and cherish it as we have.

If you are reading this and aren’t familiar with the car the thread “Project 338” is probably worth a read.

Here are the basic detials

3 owners (including myself)
79000 miles
MoT to February 2020
Completely standard apart from a resonated Miltek SS cat back system on Proflex mounts
Service book with part service history
New clutch August 2015
Dephaser, cam belt and water pump changed August 2015
Front Sachs fully reburbished by Rick Perry January 2017 (dyno printout included)
New Bosch S4 battery January 2017
All 4 wheels fully refurbed ( with buckles removed) and finish in correct Ixel colour and remain unamrked
Nearly new Michelin PS3 XL’s all round with just 4k miles on them
Genuine Renault rear discs nuts and thrust washers February 2017
New Renault/Elf oil and filter May 2017
Dephaser, cam belt, Aux belt and tensioner, and water pump changed May 2017
Genuine Renault alternator aux belt and tensioner June 2017
Air con leak test and regas June 2017
Front wheel tracking August 2017
Brake fluid flush and new ATE 200 fluid January 2018
New Genuine Renault front grille, badge and correct stickers January 2018

Outside we have had all the plastics repainted (new decals on the sills) but being honest the rear bumper could do with doing again. There are the correct washer blanks and an original front splitter. All the Aluminium in the engine bay has been removed and vapour blasted for an as new look.

Inside is complete with unmarked heater controls, intermittent wiper upgrade, new gear stick gator, new gear stick top, Renault boot net , Renault tool kit (no puncture foam I’m afraid), Genune Renault Sport overmats, new pedal covers, correct cigarette lighter unused!!

There is slight wear to the right hand drivers seat bolster.

I have an extensive spares package comprising the following which will be offered by separate negotiation with the car. Otherwise they will be solid separately.

2 x Genuine original grey rear sach dampers top bushes and new Renault bottom bolts
Genune Renault Depahser
Genuine Renault coil pack (no longer available from Renault.)
A set of front fog lamps including bulbs and wires
Full set of genuine Renault Turini centre caps
Fabia front splitter new in box
Various clips, screws etc.

Here are pictures of how the car looks today

Happy? Nope, it was a shut up and take my money moment. I want them but realise someone else's need will be greater. so you're welcome.

Looks like a real good buy for anyone interested in Trophy ownership.

I’ll take the centre caps if there’s no interest from the buyer [emoji106]

Is that the standard height for a Trophy? Do people lower them much on here?

Very tidy example btw,im on the hunt for a Trophy.

Good luck with the sale, Dave, 338 looks like a fantastic opportunity for someone to get into a 182 Trophy!

It’s a real shame you’re leaving the fold, perhaps you’ll be back when your lad is a bit older? All the best

Yep its on standard springs. A few people do fit Mark Fish springs which I believe do lower it.

It's been an absolute pleasure @DaveS - I hope #338 goes to a home that appreciates and enjoys the car as you and your son have done. All the best and good luck with the sale.

Thanks. I'm interested but was hoping you would be a bit closer. I'm near Newcastle.

I'll struggle to view before 23rd so doubt it will still be available then. Looks a tidy example GLWTS.
