I bought 313 during lockdown as a bit of a project as it needed a bit of work doing and I wanted something to take up some of my time. Car is nearly “complete” from my mini restoration. Work undertaken includes

- paint correction (does need the bonnet painting owing to rust - see pics)
- full sachs rebuild at BG Motorsport - including new valves, shafts and de-pinning. Powered coated and springs also powder coated (cost over £1k)
- track rods and ends and wheel alignment
- new lower arm
- wheel refurb
- anti roll bar bushes (powerflex) and powder coat
- new sump gasket (and fresh oil)
- full gearbox rebuild (3rd to 4th was crunching)
- new front arch liners
- brake callipers refurb and powder coated

The above work was nearly £5k in spend.

Additionally, other recent work includes:

- service on 09/05/20 at 79,500 miles
- new clutch, rear shocks, handbrake cables and drivershaft boots on 23/08/19 at 78,913 miles

I have also undertake an interior refresh including the following:

- new official renaultsport mats
- replace faulty radio with original item
- used but excellent condition steering wheel
- replacement a/c control unit as the old one had cracked
- replaced interior trims with correct silver items

Documented receipts for service history back until 08/01/2014 and 56,868 miles, unfortunately the service book is not available as the previous owner misplaced it in a move. Please see photo for folder full of receipts.

Current milage - 79911

Car will have a new mot put on it in the coming weeks.

Price - £8,000

Well it looks like you were busy, definitely didn't have much time to twiddle your thumbs with all that work ?

Are you not going to hold onto it after doing all that work?

The more I think about it, the more inclined I am to keep! Trying to find a body shop to quote for a front end refresh now...

I didnt put a lot on you FB ad as it annoys me how people knock cars for sale on there but really the only way forward is a new bonnet, by the time a decent bodyshop has spent time chopping out the rot, welding in a new piece filling etc it’s prob cheaper to get a new bonnet.
The photo of the bonnet as it is will make a lot of potential buyers just move on. I would expect you to be offering around £500 off the price of the car based on the bonnet photo as that’s what I would reasonably expect to pay to correct it.

just my opinion

Don’t worry mate - everyone’s entitled to have an opinion.

I agree with what you say above. Have been looking at quotes today for the work and will be replacing the bonnet, getting a front end respray, rear bumper colour matched and a couple of other minor points sorted.

You are doing a nice job with it, calipers look great. Have you sourced a front splitter for it.....oh and get rid of that plastic cover over the inlets under the bonnet.....they look shocking ?

Thanks mate. Yeah, I did get one - but it’s crap so will be going in the bin! Luckily it was cheap to start with.

Got some quotes today to sort the bonnet and some other bits and pieces to bring the bodywork up to the same standard as the rest of the car. Hopefully will be able to find a time slot towards the end of August to have this work completed then will update this with new pics.
