Maestro was a strong car - drove a Montego Turbo - must be the most dangerous car ever with the way it used to lift ( And the biggest put of was the car talked to you)
I've never driven a R5 GTT but I've had a 1.9 Gti since 2016.
I took it out of the garage for the first time in about two years a few months ago.
It really surprised me what it's like to drive something with so much feeling and texture as you drive down the road, you can easily forget what driving is like with not so much power but a great chassis more than makes up for it
Jesus NickReilly063,you've had quite the back catalogue of some very fine and legendary cars.
Its probably impossible to say but do you have one that you really regret selling?
Looking back now all of them really - they would be worth a fortune now.
RS Turbo above I only paid £3650 for it - went to London to buy a E30 M3 and came back with that.
I can post all day but you will all get bored
I had a ivory white RB5 back in the day, a guy at work had the 205 but the RB5 always had the edge if only for the yellow fog lights! I also had the little diahatsu GTTi with the 3 cylinder turbo engine, sounded great, very under rated car.
Gratuitous R5GTT pic
An old girlfriends sister had the 205 1.9 and she used to scare me shitless in it. It also had a much nicer interior than the R5, that is until her Jack Russell ate it!
I had a R5 turbo Tungsten Grey .. Loved it..many happy memories...
Shame I wrote it off outside my house, after I agreed to sell it to my best friend at the time.. gutted !!
