Hi everyone,

Tom from Divine Automotive here.

I took this lovely little Trophy in Px a few months ago against a Trophy R Megane, put it up for sale then decided to keep it as it's a reasonable investment, then found something else to buy and keep (I tend to buy and keep 1 car a year) and that has now happened - So the Trophy now must go again. It is not advertised currently and hasn't been for a few weeks.

Basics:

2005/55 plate
3 previous owners
21,800 miles
First registered 19/09/2005
Capsicum Red
Recaro Trendline Bucket seats
Tracker fitted
9 months MOT

This Clio is one of the lowest mileage Trophies available, and most likely one of the lowest mileage trophies remaining. Presented in the instantly recognisable Capsicum Red, sitting on the Speedline wheels and supported by the iconic Sachs dampers, the Trophy is not 'just' a Clio 182.

A lot of cars of this age/mileage tend to suffer in the service history department, but this is not the case for this particular Trophy, the service history is as follows:

17/01/2006 - 6,278 miles, Renault Kent (Receipt present)
04/12/2007 - 9,646 miles, Renault Sevenoaks (Receipt present)
04/12/2008 - 11,907 miles, Renault Sevenoaks (Receipt present)
04/12/2009 - 13,811 miles, Renault Sevenoaks (Receipt present)
07/12/2010 - 14,020 miles, Renault Sevenoaks (Cambelt included, receipt present)
29/11/2011 - 15,644 miles, Renault Sevenoaks (Receipt present)
30/11/2012 - 18,301 miles, Renault Sevenoaks (Receipt present)
27/11/2013 - 19,558 miles, Renault Sevenoaks (Receipt present)
25/11/2014 - 19,734 miles, Renault Sevenoaks (Receipt present)
31/05/2016 - 20,261 miles, Renault Newtownards (Cambelt included, receipt present)
12/05/2017 - 21,832 miles, Renault Boroughbridge (Receipt included)

The ownership history of this car is as follows:

1st owner bought brand new 19/09/2005
2nd owner bought 07/01/2006
3rd owner bought 14/12/2015
4th owner bought 10/06/2016 (and has just part exchanged with me for a Megane 275 Trophy R)

The condition of this Trophy is fantastic. Speaking with a realistic approach to a 12 year old car, the exterior is in fantastic condition. The car has minimal stone chips to the front end and rear arch areas as you may expect and all four wheels are equally immaculate. The interior is like new, the Recaro seat bolsters are fresh and proud as they should be and all alcantara/carpet areas are immaculate. The only area to the interior that shows any sign of age is the steering wheel which has very early signs of 'melting' (if you know Clios, you'll know what this means, if not I'm happy to send a photo). The car has Michelin Pilot Sport 3's at the front with roughly 5mm of tread and the rears have Michelin Pilot Exalto with roughly 6mm of tread. A very rare car presented with perfect service history and in fabulous condition.

I gave £15,500 for the car in Px, and I'm willing to take £15k for it for a quick sale without having the hassle of re advertising etc. I'm sure you know what the Irish dealer and Hurlingdon Cars sold theirs for..

Thanks
Tom

Tom that really is a cracking looking example and clearly has been owned by real enthusiasts.

How much did the other low mileage cars you mention go for?

The one in Ireland sold for 14k with 16k miles. I think if you advertise for around 13/14k it should sell with in the week.

Clearly one of the best remaining.

Whats the build number and the reg?

It certainly is a good one, especially with the service record

Its number 105

I've dropped you an email Jason. The Irish car sold for £16,200 for your reference, but remember it didn't have a particularly good service history (3 stamps from memory) which may not be the worst thing in the world, but mine has a great history

I think Tom may have sold this but I got chance to have a look at it this week. Certainly a lovely car and clearly totally unmolested, very original. Easy job for Tom really, a wash, a polish and out the door boot all credit to the guy for the work he puts into hunting down these cars.

I know traders get some bad coverage on these forums but in all honesty anyone who has put the legwork into finding one decent car for themselves will know how hard it is to find a peach. To do it day in day out and find cars with some profit in them can't be easy. Due respect to Tom.

Was very tempted by this car. Tom seems to be a proper petrolhead too which I always think makes a difference when it comes to car traders.
