Hi Ed

the above is me unfortunately having bought my Trophy running on a Cup set-up - when mine is finished mechanically I’ve now decided to fit mine.
I do like the grey rear struts rather than the later black ones which I purchased

My car was a steal due to not coming on the suspension and condition

hoolio

My Speedline wheels FDD6B48E-66A0-4D31-8523-636FFFEAF803.jpegdon’t have the same markings on them but they are the originals from new
If you where to buy a new set today from Speedline I’m sure they come stamped and with the emblem on the rim - did the later cars come with them and the earlier cars miss out

Having just looked at every sold Trophy on CC - not one have Speedline imprinted in the wheel only the 2 casting marks either side of the tyre value.

i understand most wheels will have been refurbished and lose the rim Speedline Corsa badge - however they wouldn’t lose the imprint would they ??

A bit of a shame for me. I'm not wishing to sound contentious about what is quite evidently a lovely car, but if I was dropping that sort of money on a Trophy, I'd want the Sachs on the car to enjoy, not languishing in a box on a shelf deteriorating waiting to pass them on to the next owner to enjoy or refurb again...

For £23k id want primary stakeholder shares in Sachs!! :D

Standard wheels didnt have the Speedline print on them AFAIK, aftermarket ones do.

Hello everyone, appreciate the all the comments, all relatively positive which is nice to see.
Ultimately, i'm a Trophy owner and have been for over 5 years now, pretty much when they hit the bottom value wise. I would like to think it's all in our interest that our cars are gradually rising in value and the best examples are indeed 'Top money' ultimately because they deserve to be!

Understanding the market and knowing how I ultimately undersold the previous Trophy that I had, this truly is where it needs to be.

I'm a massive petrolhead and a bit of a ocd collector, I of course understand people will either want the front Sachs dampers fitted or kept in a box in new condition, genuine interest has arisen and people have discussed the option of us swapping the suspension if they were to go ahead with purchasing etc..

Positively offers have floated around already and have started with the number 2, thought this would be interesting for some of you to know.

I have just updated the advert with an in detail video walkaround which shows the car in a bit more detail.

I really don't like using the words immaculate, but in my eyes this example is exactly that!

Thanks!

Not sure what the confusion is regarding the decal on the wheel (or have I got it wrong) The picture I posted was of one of the new set I have to illustrate what they looked like new. You can just about see the decal on the set on my car although now very faint. These decals were on all Trophy’s from new.

Wheels certainly not original to the car. The ones on it are the later ones available from Renault which carry far more casting stamps. They are genuine but not ex factory fitted.
Nice car though, well presented

Thanks for the info on the wheels Ashtons. Just checked the refurbished Turini alloy I bought recently and it doesn't have the additional casting marks you mention, so must have been an original.

As I tried to explain, it’s a decal of some description not an imprint And definitely not paint.

No problem. Just for reference this is a pic what a brand new Speedline Turini looked like back then. They had just the 2 casting stamps wither side of the valve and the Speedline decal opposite to the valve on the rim.

The later speedlines were sold through Renault from around 2011 onwards and had multiple casting marks (photos of later wheel courtesy of @dablk ) 3DCABA9F-4A64-42D1-9D9A-E6F031EA362F.jpegC4D2605F-618B-4B77-A313-074FFDFAA2C4.png04E5394D-F4C2-4EB5-A9D5-82F40706909C.png courtesy of @dablk)

This is correct. Here’s a pic of No. 69 which I owned when new, as @Ashtons99 says the ‘Speedline Corse’ decal can be seen faintly on the rim, located opposite the valve.

Just viewed the walk around video, it shows the car off really well Sam. It certainly does look an absolute cracker!

Really good video for a top quality car.

I cant see you having it long, even at that sort of price range.
Would there even be double digit cars in that condition combined with that low mileage?

Going back to the alloy Speedlines wheels.

The OE Wheels from dealership when new back in 2005 came with the small Speedline logo / graphic as @hoolio pointed out.
These "Could" wear away though washing and chemicals along with anyone who has at there wheels refurbished.

The original alloys went backorder / NLA from Renault and then they produced the second set of Speedlines wheels that came with all the casting marks on them as per picture below.

New Style Speedline.jpg

From looking at the walk round video the car does have genuine Renault trophy alloys but all be it the second edition that Renault then later produced after the original OE ones went back order / NLA.

The Speedlines Turini's direct from Speedline have a different centre on them which tells them apart from the Renault ones as per picture below also.

Oh and not that I want to be a picky c**t but I "think" that these are not the genuine 182 trophy Sachs dampers.

They are the Twingo Sachs dampers if I recall as the trophy damper part numbers are 8200514733 & 8200514734

The twinge dampers started part number 7711167413 & 7711167414 and from what I recall the Twingo R1 dampers came with the scraper seal and the standard trophy Sachs never.

One way of telling would be to pop off the rubber boot that's covering the piston shaft on the damper.

Am I right in thinking that the Twingo items are the 54mm bolt spacing as per a standard 182 hub rather than the 60mm bolt spacing of the 182 Cup & Trophy hub?

I recently had this discussion with Optimez in France about some Sachs that they had available. They turned out to be the incorrect bolt spacing for the Trophy application.

The Twingo Sachs damper came in 2 sizes.

54mm & 60mm for Twingo R1 & R2 Cars
