Thanks for your input guys. Some things to think about there. It is more the running costs which I see go out every month to then not use the car. Plus the money I will inevitably spend on top of that doing bits and pieces.
I have always maintained I would keep the Trophy and I am still in...
Bumping this as unfortunately I am still of the same mindset and would consider letting my Trophy go for the right price.
In case anybody reading this may be interested, here's a basic overview:
Mileage is approx. 115k, 2 previous owners, previous owner had serviced at K-Tec religiously, I...
So as the title suggests I have been thinking of selling my Trophy for some time now. For the last 5 years of ownership I have always maintained it was a keeper, but if I'm honest I don't feel like I get the same enjoyment from the car now. I took it out this weekend for the first time since...
Oops, forgot to ever update this thread!
Have a read through my thread on CS, I have posted details of a solution in there:

Hi Neil,
I am looking to re-insure my Trophy next year and was wondering if you offer a policy where I can insure the car from say April through to September? I garage the car over winter so I'm trying to avoid paying insurance when its not in use.
Thanks
Tom
I'm thinking of replacing mine when I get round to giving the bodywork a refresh (hopefully next year).
I noticed Ren Parts sell an alternative that they claim to be high quality and insurance approved...
Mick at Diamond Motors works Saturday or at least he did when I was last there a few months ago.
He would be my choice regardless, he has done work on various Clios I've owned and I've always been impressed. He has a good eye for detail and doesn't cut corners.
I sent mine off to BG on Thursday. Funnily enough, mine were last done in 2010 too. Got a call on Friday to say they'd been received and all was well (despite the box splitting during transit!).
Service has been excellent so far - quite surprised by a couple of the posts above.
Thanks for the info Marc. I have just bought a set of the Twingo dampers (you most probably saw them for sale on CS), based on what you've said then, I won't be able to purchase the dust covers at all?
I thought people were having their original Sachs modified to allow them to fit the dust...
Forgot to mention the engine mounts... I went for OEM lower gearbox, upper gearbox and upper engine mounts with a Powerflex dogbone mount.
I actually got the upper engine and gearbox mounts from GSF car parts, simply because I didn't feel genuine parts were worth the premium given they aren't...
Dsturbed, I've put together a list below of the part numbers for the items I ordered for my suspension refresh.
7701470760 - SMI Steering rack bushes - £20+VAT, 2 required
8200257957 - Wishbone (RHS) including new bushes and lower ball joint - £37+VAT, 1 required
8200257956 - Wishbone (LHS)...
Yeah most people do because Renault don't sell the bushes and lower ball joints separately. As above the cost is only £45ish each.
I can post part numbers and prices later on if it would be helpful for people?
