Review of my trophy restoration parts list

Exactly it'll be just a red Clio to them with another car coming in soon. Paint is the final product in whether something looks great or not. Unless they've got an interest in doing a great job it'll end up being an average one. I.e. find yourself a painter that knows a Trophy 👍 (or buy mine 🤣)

Review of my trophy restoration parts list

Geez this sounds shit on my phone. The whole point of doing the vid was to let folk hear how nice the bubbly exhaust sounds on fast idle 🙈

Review of my trophy restoration parts list

Mike I'm obviously commenting here from a bias stance but mate it's too good to be true and you will end up disappointed. When it comes to major work like that you need to either pay the money, or do it yourself, if you've the kit and knowledge. There's not enough 'time' in 1500 quid to do a...

    One Owner Trophy for Sale

🤣 Yeah he's a feisty little £&@#;! that enjoys cocking his leg up at every lamppost. He's the terrier of the car world 🤣

    One Owner Trophy for Sale

Ollie was interested but it seems job circumstances have changed and now isn't looking for one. Shame it would have been nice thought thinking car was still local

    One Owner Trophy for Sale

Thanks Nick that's appreciated. Ive had some interest but amazingly noone has yet got of their arse to come and see the car. Shame as it's a lot more original than the one which sold for quite a bit more on collecting cars recently, (eg painted front splitter, rear speakers, dashboard fixings...

    One Owner Trophy for Sale

HA, yeah I dont really want to sell him on to be truthful as hes been a great car to me. He looked after me very well once when I had the ESP light flashing like crazy and nothing but a grey blur in front of me. Top car. I really hope someone else gets as much enjoyment out of him as I have.

PS The front dampers were powder coated at BG so the dark areas is cavity wax. Could do with a decent clean to be honest.

    One Owner Trophy for Sale

Hi guys, Finally been able to get some photos for you, see attached. Only paint its had is me airbrushing the door handles. When I first got it I gave it a good once over with cavity wax and applied protective strips around the wheel arches, so you might see some remnants of wax at the seams...

    One Owner Trophy for Sale

Ha you did read the bit that said the photos were when the car was new? To be fair though, I'm quite proud of the condition it's in now, I'll get some photos sorted in next few days (little lads birthday tomorrow). In terms of price I'm looking for £15k but crucially I'll only sell him to a good...

    One Owner Trophy for Sale

Hi all, Way back on 25th August 2005 it pissed it down! And I went to pick up 'Svnn' from Reg Vardy in Rotherham. Little did I know that 20 years later I would still own him, the feisty little rascal that he his. At the time Svnn Goran Eriksson was England manager, and YM05 VNN was the only...

Tailpipes or backbox from original exhaust

Nah not a standard box mate thanks though. Originals usually corrode badly on the box and start to peel off

Tailpipes or backbox from original exhaust

Probably true but there must be loadsa rotten back box's in backs of garages. The tailpipes are a different material probably 304 stainless same as my Btm system

    Radio

To finish this saga off.... I ended up solving the problem. I bought a fully working secondhand unit with different security code and replaced its security chip with my original chip (24c64) and stickers and now the unit is a carbon copy (but aux works) of my original unit

    Radio

I have tried even replaced a SMD resistor with two diodes per manual for the main chip but to no avail. I'm not 100% sure it's damaged though as I get the music when plugged in to my phone but it's distorted at all combinations of volume. Wondered if it was something to do with impedance...

    Radio

I know its a long shot but.. it's only a four digit code, mine is 7379,so worst case there are max of 9999 different codes but I doubt there are that many. I'll hold out to here if anyone has one then failing that plump for one with a different code.

Tailpipes or backbox from original exhaust

    Radio

Looking for a original radio code 8200409475t security code j378. I have buggered up the aux input channel on mine (doh!) and need a replacement. Had the car from new so would like to keep code original if at all possible. Dave

    Replacement Strut Top Mounts

Hi Marc looks a neat solution. Well heres a brief update. Ive fitted the new kit and it goes together fine with a slightly reduced gap as expected. As before if the wheels are in the air (jacked up) then there is no gap between the rubber dished item (visible in engine bay) and the body panel...
