Well Car has been moved into storage again. This time with the guys restoring my rally mini. Now they have a nice big paint booth etc so …….one thing led to another and a discussion around tidying up the nicks and scratches of 20 years led to the following.

Now I have finished the Clio restore the next project is starting to come together. Bolting the first bits into the restored shell.

Before a few scuffs Then a good polish And after completely clear.

Another little task for 271 I didn’t know we could do but great result. Changed the wipers and noticed there was some scuff marks on the rear glass. Bit of YouTube research and a quick purchase of the following kit. ( Also used on my daughter’s Mini which had more noticeable scuffs too.) Works...

Just got it out of storage at my mates and looking good even with the patina of 17 years use There was a set of spares being ordered up and made by one of the members and a lot of people bought them. OMP will remake with enough orders Plus I have all “my precious” suspension spares in one...

And added some more rear springs with the correct bands so I think that’s it now - phew (thanks northy and others above for the pointers)

Yes the car was based in Fulham but in a garage under a cover now we have getting to the end of adding the toys / getting the detailing etc done

Hi they were the Cup springs apparently speaking g to Andy which I believe were pretty much the same as the Trophy ones. Will need to look for rings when next at the garage. Had the front springs from the relatively recent special order organised on the forum.

Back to Trophy and she has been to Andy Cochrane’s for a once over and MOT. Less than a thousand miles in about 15 months so not really getting any use. Good thing is we have bern tracking down the last missing bits to finish the build So complete springs and shocks set - tick . Oh...

Oh there was a lot of rust - pretty much everything below the waistline has bee. Replaced apart from bulkheads !
