Cheers.
The previous owner bought an RS Tuning "box" that uploads to the ECU. Unless I return to the standard map, which apparently I can, I have nothing to compare it with but it feels pretty strong. However, I intend to book it into RS Tunong for a proper rolling road remap soonest. I have no...
I sold my Trophy (023/500) last month. I was the second owner and I live in Halifax. The first owner lived in Crewe and that's a spit and a stride from where its new, 3rd owner lives. So it's gone back home, as it were. I loved it but ran it as an everyday car doing short journeys around urban...
I'm selling my Trophy. 23 of 500. 2005 05 reg. 2 owners (including me). 66,000 miles. Sachs dampers serviced at BG Motorsport in February 2012. Polybushes on front wishbones and anti-roll bar, KTec solid top mounts and camber bolts. Stainless steel cat-back exhaust system and K&N air filter...
I made a last-minute decision to try to hook up with the West Yorkshire contingent of the TVR club for their "Cobweb Run" this morning but I was a few minutes too late. Shame, because that would have been a lovely collection of rare and very noisy cars. I saw the Cerbera Speed 12 running-in...
Many thanks for the offer. I'm a bit distracted at the moment refurbishing my 1994 Pug S1 Rallye but I'll see if I can find a Dynamique stalk and fit it. If I get stuck, I'll give you a shout.
About a fortnight ago at about 9.45am I followed a Trophy down from Queensbury to Shelf roundabout. It...
Thanks guys. Mine is #23 so an early version so it will have the cheapo stalk. I just thought it was me being thick (usual explanation in this sort of situation). I'll have to see if I can lay hands on a secondhand stalk with the adjustment on it. Sometimes, car manufacturers' penny-pinching is...
Can anyone tell me how I can adjust the interval between wipes when the wipers are on their intermittent setting? At the moment they wipe about every 3 seconds.
Hi Will#I#Ams - Northowram, since you ask. Not far from from the Regional organiser, who's in Shelf. Proper little Clio enclave in Halifax. Given the roads round here, I bet we all have bad backs and are half an inch shorter than we were in our mid-20s (for those of us who are ever-so-slightly...
Hi Jenic,
I spotted a Trophy yesterday morning at about 8.50am on the Brighouse - Denholmegate road just coming down to Shelf roundabout but I can't remeber the reg. Something like ??55 CHC or CKC. I had to pretend to listen what my wife was saying as we drove to the office so, being a man and...
My personal object of motoring lust is the 911 GT3 but an Exige would be fantastic, an FQ400 would be bonkers and probably lose me my driving licence in the first 3 months of ownership and the M3 CSL is such a handsome, stunning-sounding car it would be hard to resist. It would be even better...
I re-discovered Evo magazine’s raison d’être last weekend – the thrill of driving.
I bought my Trophy (#23/500) in early December. Its one previous owner had serviced it regularly but in most other respects it needed a dose of TLC including: refurbished front dampers; new exhaust; rear...
Mine has the K&N which sounds fabulous but I understand that you lose a few bhp when it's hot because the position of the filter just downwind of the radiator means it draws in hot air which is less dense and affects power. To counter that I have fabricated a box that shields the filter from the...
Thanks stormduck. You may have a point there.
I've fitted new pads tonight and it's much, much better. I think it was a combination of factors: worn pads; not winding the piston out as you suggest to pre-adjust it; I'm not sure I ensured that the peg on the back of the pad was engaged with the...
Mine is #23, it's done 58,000 miles and the one previous owner did not exactly pamper it but the seats are pristine apart from the squab cover pulling out at the back where it looks like it is meant to be a push-fit into the back of the seat frame. Not a massive issue, just irritating. The...
I have just taken my rear brakes apart and fitted new seals. They work now (they were jammed solid before) but the first time I apply the brakes the pedal goes down too far. If I pump it, the travels shortens and the brakes work normally. The pedal is solid when it gets to the end of its travel...
Mine does the same - the tyres, mainly the outside (bigger radius) one I think, scrub like buggery on full lock. It's most noticeable in the wet. When my son is home in a couple of weeks I'll see if his 182 Cup does the same.
