If the dampers are leaking oil then a seal is likely to have gone or a crack. You can test the dampers by opening the door and bouncing on the sill. If the dampers need doing the car will bounce. Proper working order the car will be solid.

If we get a snowy winter then yes. Lots of salt build up doesn't agree with them. Regular cleaning would be fine though. It is the pot holes after snow that is the problem. Three years ago was a nightmare.

Chances are renault would fuck the timing up anyway. Take it to a specialist who knows renaultsports. Most dealers don't know what a clio trophy is.

Thanks for the replies lads! The price i was told it was worth was £2500-2750. If it does indeed turn out to be that then i will keep it and put it away. Prices have risen quite a lot for lower milage ones at around the 6700-7500k mark. Was hoping for 3800-4k tbh. 2.5k is gutting.

I use mine as a daily and am doing a 70 mile a day round trip. I am selling mine at the end of the summer but mine will be close to 105k by then. Got a bit of work to do before I sell it though.
