I recently had my original Sachs colour matched at a local paint supplier.
I’ve then had new rear stickers made and got a full set of brand new oem cup shocks with top mounts etc etc.
Painted, laquered then finally popped the new repro stickers on.
This has worked out at sub £200 for anyone...
£200-230 per damper is some cost for rear dampers!
However I guess it is what it is. I’ll stay on the list for now and I’ll judge at the time whether I can justify the cost at that time.
Replies seem somewhat slow so I can only assume others are thinking the same?

The way things are going it probably was. It was needing another 5k spent on it tho so £13k + your time to get it back up to scratch.
Hindsight eh.

Vaseline breaks down door rubbers over time, so avoid that if you can.
A common talking point in the detailing pages at this time of year as customers ask for it to stop door seals sticking.

He ended up selling it to WBAC who had initially offered him 6...
Currently on the search for one after years of putting it off.
If anyone’s thinking about selling soon then drop me a line. I’ve been around 1*2s for coming on 10 years so happy to do pretty much anything mechanical.
I am after something as close to standard as possible however I can work...
