some different kind of welding are existing, and some of them don't create enough heat to damage the dampers. for the moment i am thinking to refurbish my dampers......may be i funded a work chop able to do this near my home. in the same time i am searching equivalent dampers.....i found 182 cup...

in order to give some informations, to obtain the perfect configuration, the best way will be to drill two new holes and full the two hold holes. i am thinking that group buy will not be interesting because i can't have sachs technical data, optimiz can't help me and the modification are more...

after discussion with optimiz one of the measure on dampers give problem, as you can see on pdf, you have to know that original dampers are 96 mm insted of 102 mm on the new on, so it's not as easy as we can think, first hypotheses we have to drill only one new hole to find 60 mm than 54 mm but...

for information, the dampers proposed are not for twingo R1 but absolutely for clio 2 rs (confirmation by email from optimiz access)

no problem i will send the second one picture by email to optimiz, i would juste show you what i find directly on my dampers because there are some little difference on quotation, i suggest to keep in mind an acceptbale tolérance from optimiz mesure (may be more or less 1 mm)

good job, i totaly agree with you philfree, if you are sure about your cotation, i propose to send all the specification ( yours and mine) to optimiz acces in order they check them directely on dampers end confirm if it's ok or not. if you are not sure, on my side or someone else, i propose to...

We had discused with optimiz about it and the différence is only on the upper hole. So the opération of milling have to ne done only on this one.

Optimiz acces has a set of Sachs dampers with 54 mm and offers for a group purchase only to modify them to 60 mm by a professional miling shop in oder they will be ok for clio trophy. For the moment the twice front dampers are 750 euros .

i speak about it because, i feel it like a good compromise and we can find more easily new twingo sachs dampers than trophy sachs dampers

distance between the twice fix on the Bottom is 54 mm on twingo R1 and 60mm on trophy. the goal is to drill an other hole with 60 mm

I have in mind to adapt sachs dampers twingo 58 mm in order to ne able to put them on m'y clio. Does anyone made alraedy this opération ?

does anyone try to install sachs twingo on clio trophy? if i understand,the only main différence is 54 mm for twingo than 60 mm for clio. i am thinking that it would be easy to transform 54 mm in 60 mm with drilling unit and a good drilling cutting tool

the twice cars are very beautiful, i bought an other clio williams last week, a good idea for Christmas day but it is for my son and she is in 1/43 scale ;)

difficult to find the good solution, may be welding a metal plate on this area to reinforce .....
