    Standard exhaust?

crazy how easy these rust out. My friends in Aus complain how poorly protected the standard exhausts are.

So What's Next....? Life after a Trophy

loving all these responses. Taking me much longer to read now! Keep them coming. @SharkyUK was it Porsche or Ferrari who started the whole charge more for less trend? Was it the RS or the Challenge Stradale?

    Clio art

This looks cool! The turning circle stat is wrong though. feels more like 11m. One of my pet peeves of a clio 182.

So What's Next....? Life after a Trophy

Yep we got the 4 round light front end like the rest of the world. Most of the cars in Aus that have the JDM front end would have been a conversion or personal import. Even the DC5R I had was more like the US Spec RSX Type S than the JDM equivalent. I blame the poorer quality high sulfur content...

    Trophy in Japan

Yeah this one is on 33k km so 20k miles and change. There is a website called https://minkara.carview.co.jp/ where a lot of car enthusiasts in Japan like to document their car ownership. Unfortunately as it is part of Yahoo! Japan it is blocked in the UK and EEA, only way to get into it is via a...

    Trophy in Japan

I'm on the Japan Renault owners group, joined it to find some JDM inspiration for my old Trophy. This 9-52 ref 182 has seen a lot of track days. Here is the other one, #25/50

    Trophy in Japan

Yep most of the Trophys I've seen in Japan are LHD swiss exports. One is on its way to 300k km and another on 33k km. From Facebook: 2021 I can't find it but one of the trophy owners in Japan also has a few other Renaults such as the Spyder.

So What's Next....? Life after a Trophy

Haha he hasn't given it a proper drive yet. Sat with the engine builder for 2 years due to covid and other things. The exhaust system is just being finalised after a 1000km run in. Love the pug by the way! How does the 205 Gti compare the to Trophy? You probably have what most would call the...

So What's Next....? Life after a Trophy

The DC5 doesn't actually have an oversteering character and is quite neutral due to its long wheelbase, it is just when it does oversteer you can't catch it as it is a very slow tempo oversteer. This means when you try to power out of the oversteer or counter steer the car, it will keep on...

So What's Next....? Life after a Trophy

The DC5R was super easy to live with. I used it as my daily driver after selling the Altezza, my road bike could be left whole and put in the boot with the rear seats down. They are good cars however I found the chassis to not be as sharp/dynamic as the shorter civic Type R hatch and the k20a...

    Spotted in Morrisons Huddersfield

Didn't know the e-types came with a v12! The quad square exhaust looks mean too. That rexy just gives me mid 00s nostalgia, big wing? tick, cannon exhaust? tick. Clean considering how rusty they can get.

So What's Next....? Life after a Trophy

It is a very interesting conundrum indeed. From a fun perspective if the Trophy was a 10/10 at city speeds, the C4s is probably a 6.5/10. However I think I need more seat time to make a better judgement. I've owned and driven plenty of NA 4 cylinder cars; DC5 Integra Type R (K20A), Toyota...

So What's Next....? Life after a Trophy

Thanks all, this is our first Porsche. Haha yes the drains are clear, have had issues with sunroof cars before. It's a great spec car in the rather rare slate grey. Like the Trophy, my favourite shot would be from the rear 3/4. You can definitely feel the 400kg+ difference when driving...

So What's Next....? Life after a Trophy

I've been thinking about this for a while and keen to hear current and past owners thoughts. What's next after a Trophy? My wife and I bought a 996 C4s 6MT as the new toy however I wouldn't call it a "replacement" maybe a distraction?

    Is the Clio Trophy forum....

I have to agree with all of the above. I've been on many forums globally and also helped run a couple. ClioTrophy has been by far filled with the purest of enthusiasts. The community here has definitely helped my 1 week shy of a 3 year Trophy ownership easier! Cheers, Wesley!

    New daily driver

    2. Fun Car: I'd recommend a late model R53 Mini Cooper S that has had it's chain guide checked and front strut towers checked for mushrooming. These are incredible fun and the supercharger noise is addictive. The neutral/tail happy nature is great fun. 3. Daily: e91 330i estate: these have the...

    Acid Yellow V6

I've been eyeing the enthusiast car markets both here and abroad, a lot of cars seem to be taking a hit in value and are slowly returning to pre-pandemic levels. 2 seater cars are taking the biggest hit, a lot seem to be sitting and not selling for some time. 9excellence had a speed yellow 996.2...

    Tyre choice

my car has had AD08RS since 110k, now on 122.5k. I had a chat with a friend about this, he rkns with our cars at 1T kerb weight, it takes a while to get them up to temperature, explains a bit of wheel spin in 2nd pulling out of a roundabout going from 20mph to 50mph to get onto a dual...

    Going back to plastic/acrylic plates

I am thinking of getting rid of the pressed metal plates on 167 and go back to plastic/acrylic plates. Does anyone recommend a reputable supplier? I'd love to put original delivery plates back on but they are long gone and the dealer isn't around anymore.

AC High Pressure Valve + Regas London

Hi all, the trophy has now lost all its refridgerant gas through by the looks of it a failed/old high pressure valve. Anyone know where in South London I could get it done? Car is usually maintained by Two Techs however they are bit far for generic AC work. Or would a valve replacement be an...
