Yeah you should ask when you go to view the car. Its people who put it on the adverts that winds me up
'Genuine reason for sale'
'New baby forces sale'
'New house forces sale'
'Just been accepted on a one way mission to mars'
Just a waste of ad space and an insult to peoples...
Why do people put stupid things like 'new baby forces sale'?
All i want to know is the condition and the mileage, with relevant history. I dont care about the owners personal life. So your gf is pregnant? Big deal.
If you change the springs you change the dynamics of the dampers too. Ive never seen the point of changing only the springs in a car unless it has an inherent problem and needs them changed. People do this on the williams. I just dont see the point. Everything drops out of equilibrium. The...
Yozza, the Clio Cup braces were welded onto the struts and they had a removable cetre section that enabled easy access to the engine bay when removed. The centre section bolted out, and when in place was solid.
If you made one like this i would buy one. Remove it for road use, bolt it in for...
Just saying youll all probably see of it ot hear of it soon enough. The auction buyer has not taken it with the other F1 cars.
Plus i like to name drop that im friends with Jonathan Williams and have his personal mobile number in my phone :D
I know what happened to 0001, and i know who does (or will own it). I cant say anything as i was told by Jonathan Williams and i dont know if he wants me to say.
If you want to get an accurate figure go to hillpower. Nick has real time video feed of the cars on the rollers. He has a recorded desktop of the actual run in real time. Both of these are overlain onto a memory stick which you can then take home. He also has a weather station, that takes...
There are alot more that put out alot less than the very small number that put out a little more.
Nick hill has weighed the cranks of these cars and found some are 6lbs heavier than others. Thats a huge amount. The inlet and exhaust manifolds are also restrictive on alot of cars.
Fact is...
Sorry to tell you that even if you dont feel any starvation it will happen on track. Was talking to someone about this the other day, and its one reason that track driving is so bad for road cars. Baffles help. Dry sump is the only way to eliminate it. Without it you will get oil surge.
Its not the engine, its the chassis and other accessory parts. Unless you get the chassis welded it will be floppy. This greatly reduces the grip and turn in of the car. A strut brace will help but it really has to be welded.
I guarnetee that even cars on 70,000 will have flex in their...
Had a recent F7power meet and there was a civic type r there. It had been remapped and the vtec now cut in at 5500. We were following in the mr2 with the top down and the sounds was out of this world. It really did sound like it was about to explode. Amazing.
0002 feels 100 times better than 0200 even though 0200 has been rebuilt. Its just tighter and faster. Low mileage cars are better, unless your going to rebuild everything. You need to do the shell, gearbox, mounts, engine, seats (even they start to squeek and rock), gear linkages, window...
Your actaully quite reasonable to discuss things with when your not trying to show off infront of your williamsclio mates.
I dont know if it would do a sub 15 quater mile. I cant ring its neck until i get the steering welded as i have no confidence i wont end up in a hedge as the car steers...
Well, i dont do 0-whatever as i think its a waste of a good clutch. But i can try to do some in car footage. Jills car has been driven by most on cliosport (roamer, yozza etc i think) and its known as a quick 172. I think Jill did a 15.something on her first ever 1/4 mile on 17's, so i have no...
Firsty chris b, i think its fair that my car is allowed to be welded as after 127,000 miles the chassis will be soggy which will seriously hamper track performance. The trophies are all low mileage new cars and so have very stiff chassis as they havent fatuigued yet. A seam welded williams is...
Its already sat on my drive with a cover over it. Over the next two weeks tha car is going to be put on stands and stripped bare. Then my mate is coming over to seam weld it. 8)
