Put it on lock and get a torch and have a good look under there. See if you can see anything obvious (broken spring / something trapped etc). Do the obvious first.
Its not his opinions i disagree with, but a number of other points.
He contradicts himself and the consensus of other writers.
He races a car on public roads and brags about it (which makes him a knob imo instantly) and then shows the stupidity to print it in an article.
He talks about...
It seems to me that you have not got anything intelligent to say so you resort to personal insults. Personally i think the article is poor. I didnt mention the car. I didnt mention the Williams. Seems to me that some people wished that i had.
Untrue, i thought the clarkson review was good as it was honest, and not a pile of cut and paste renault marketing crap. Ive also seen a couple of others that i thought were well written.
I beleive i have qualifications and experience enough to understand a good piece of work from a bad...
Seems that alot of people are very defensive about the trophy. I was critisising the review not the car. I suggest some people learn to read, before they try to argue with a guru. :P
As for owning a cossie. Did you own it from new? If not your not comparing like for like, your comparing a new...
The ecu retards the engine with lesser fuel. It will still work but not to maximum power. Plus supermarket fuel is full of impurities, high in sulphur and turns your valves into coal (this has been shown time and again in scientific reports).
Enjoy :D
Im not on one. I just dont understand how people cant read. When you open the fuel filler for a Mk2 clio sport it clearly states to use 98 ron fuel.
How much more advice do you need?
Ive never said the Williams is 'better' than the trophy. A car is only better if the owner like it more.
A landrover is a 'better' car than a trophy, if you live on a farm with no access roads. Circumstance dictates desire.
LOL at people who buy a 15 k car then scrimp on a few pence to shove crap fuel in it, not realising their valves will look like a coal seller after 3000 miles.
Enjoy the BHP while it lasts boys. :P
Can you read the petrol cap? 'recommended 98 ron fuel'
Car for car im sure my cheese wedge would hold its own against most hot hatch cars. But then unlike some im not blinkered into beleiving that the world of performance cars ends with a 2litre engine in the front of a shopping trolly.
Buy and drive some different cars and you will see that...
And he says that it is a great car, then states it has 'knife edge handling'.
Last time i checked, all the best cars DONT have knife edge handling, but a nice progressive feel on the limit. So has this guy got any idea what hes talking about?
He then goes on to state that if you turn the...
LOL, at reviews that complain about turning circles on sporty cars, shows how much they know about steering geometry. Actually shows how little the guy knows about cars. Cars fitted with 'fast' racks are always going to have poor turning circles. Like thats a bad point. How many 3 point turns do...
LOL @ chewing up a boxster S driven by a guy that knows the road and the car well. A mid engined RWD perfectly balanced V6 sports car. 0-60 in 5.7 seconds, 236 lb/ft at 4700, a low drag coefficient and a power to weight ratio of 200 bhp per tonne.
I dont think so.
I wonder if hes ever...
TBH im dissapointed Jermey didnt intervene on this one. Hes quick enough to post in these forums when a review comes out, but when you really needed some help where was his phone call?
Or maybe he doesnt have the power everyone thinks he does at Renault?
Im glad you got the car mate, been...
