    Lightness Revisited - A 172 Cup Adventure.

Great update again, Ed - thanks! It's a shame the conditions weren't on your side this round but still a great experience nonetheless!

    182 Trophy wanted

Hold on... I dispute the bit that states a full service, including cambelt and dephaser, costs around 600 quid! Maybe 10 years ago! I was talking to Mick at Diamond earlier this evening and we often talk prices and parts.... you're looking well north of a grand these days for genuine and...

    182 Trophy wanted

You'll soon get used to them, @chip2257 - not everyone can be young and hip like other moderators on here... 🤫:ROFLMAO:

    182 Trophy wanted

I would agree - look for an enthusiast-owned example as close to stock as possible. And maybe consider something like a Quaife in the future if needs be. Whilst I am all for stock/standard (honestly, guv!) the LSD does add "driver value" if not monetary value! I won't derail your thread talking...

    182 Trophy wanted

Something like a Quaife LSD on the Trophy is a worthwhile upgrade and probably one of the very few modifications I would recommend. Any jobs going, Chris? :ROFLMAO:

    307 Recommission

Ooft (sucks through teeth)... that's going to need a lot, Jules. Probably get written off. I have 500 quid here with your name on it if that helps. Hold out your hand. :ROFLMAO: It's good to see 307 getting some love.

"A" is for "Awesome" - so it's plenty good enough!

    Lightness Revisited - A 172 Cup Adventure.

Ah - thanks Ed. I think I was thrown a little by the apparent positioning of the jack in relation to the subframe mounting point. I do actually jack and axle-stand in the same way with #165. I get somewhat paranoid and fidgety when it comes to having the car jacked up and I am not the one doing...

    Lightness Revisited - A 172 Cup Adventure.

Looking good, mate! At Harewood, I would grab a doggie bag so that you can walk the track and not miss breakfast... :ROFLMAO: Ed, a quick question for you... the jacking point. Where are you jacking up against on the Cup's underside? I can't quite work it out from the photo...(y)

    Wheel weights.

I knew it! I always thought this myself, but never had the wheels without tyres on to weigh and compare! My current track wheels (on the Trophy) are Cup Turinis and I always thought they felt heavier! :ROFLMAO:

    Windscreen top and side trims.

I had new trim when my replacement windscreen went in last year. Unfortunately, it appeared not to have been fitted correctly and started pulling away from the glass and flapping about! :ROFLMAO: I couldn't for the life of me get it to stick down, but Mick (Diamond Motors) must have done...

    Michelin pilot sport 5's

I have been really impressed by the PS5s on the Trophy. It's too early to say what the wear rate is like but they are definitely a step up over anything I've used before - PE2, PS3.

    FB Clio Trophy page

Hi Paul, As far as I am aware, the Facebook pages are "owned/run" by different folks who are not related to this site and forums.

    Possible Trophy M4 Newport, Wales

I was out and about in my Trophy earlier... but certainly didn't have a bike on the roof. Well, not when I left home and then returned a few hours later! :ROFLMAO: We need to grab a coffee sometime!

    TrophyTracker Web Application

Well, the insomnia has kicked-in worse than usual so I decided to add a new feature overnight (it has just gone live). There is a new option on the menu to view brief details of retired (scrapped) Trophys. (y)

    TrophyTracker Web Application

Update... As TrophyTracker 2.0 is still some way off, I have given the existing version a bit of a refresh. Some of the changes include: A revamped user interface - not too different from the old version Removed obsolete features Lots of minor tweaks to improve presentation (especially on...

    Daily drivers

I'm still using the Trophy as the daily. However, with a bit of decent weather today, I managed to get the other daily out. :ROFLMAO: In all seriousness, I might have to consider getting a real daily depending on where my next job role takes me. Mind you, I'm more than happy to use the Trophy...

GREAT ROADS: A Festive Meander in Wales.

A+, Ed. (y) A lovely narrative as always. I have to confess, I do enjoy the B4407... it's a bit of a gem and, as you say, was fairly recently given a fresh layer of tarmac. I have friends who live in Denbighshire and we often take a steady jaunt over the Evo Triangle, join the A5...
