Stealthsport, predictably, are no more. Went t1ts up last December.
So your options for rebuilds are still BG, or another suspension rebuilder - im sure most will be able to do it.
Oh yeah, i raced my mate in his M6 at the weekend and he couldnt get close!! I must have at least 250bhp now, much quicker as we approached 200mph down the autobahn
Re: the pulleys, the whole kit is from Pure Motorsport (the chap Colin Satchell is very well known in 106/saxo/205...
Mine is a little rattly/tappety top end, but nothing major, certainly no worse than any of the other 1*2's ive had. Did Mike give any possible reasons for it?
OMP subframes (complete with 6 washers on the gearbox side to level them out), with the standard 'Bimarco' side mounts modified to go forwards a bit more - as you probably noticed at Donington, im vertically chalenged ...
My whirring was pretty bad all the time to be honest, along with a smell of burning, so Fred @ BTM suggested the alternator had died at Donington. But we got to the JMS workshop and turned the steering wheel the PAS pump was making a racket as well, & almost stalling on full lock. It had also...
Firstly, thanks to James & Tom at JMS, despite having to be on the Eurotunnel at 6am this morning, James was bleeding my brakes at midnight last night - mostly thanks to another of our friends bringing in a last minute brake related emergency/c0ck up i might add ... IR tired.
So, the work done...

Yup, there's lot of parts currently being collated. As far as im aware, the build process will be starting when they get back from Skiing on Tuesday. Only problem is, with the usual service work and over 25 (!!!) RS2's to build, i cant imagine it being something thats going to get turned around...
JMS can supply & fit the BTB (& others im sure) and are based in Chertsey if thats any good to you :)
Not sure if they are officially promoting it yet, but they were fitting one when i collected my car the other day. Just say that Dave recommended you.
They're on holiday until Tuesday, but...
Go out of main 'ring car park.
Turn right, follw the road until the end.
At the T junction turn right.
Go under the bridge, the turn right at the next T junction.
Follow the straight, & about 500 yards on your left there is a petrol station.
They did it last time i went :)
So, the fairly standard 1*2 modifications then:
Ported throttle body
Removed acoustic valve
Maxogen
Matched inlets
De-cat
Live Map
165 @ Wheels is approx. 190-195 @ fly, ie what you would expect from ITB's, or an RS2 inlet, mapped.
So if you genuinely have 195bhp, & have got it down to just...
Has yours ever been on a rolling road? Thought you only had matched inlets & an ITG lol, what else you got lurking in there for your £5k, cams & remap as well?
Without wanting to sound like a ballbag, i think i'm going to leave this discussion now, its just ridiculous.
I saw an RS192 last night where the welds had split on the centre box.
TBh, compared to my BTB (which we then compared up on the ramp), it looked like it had been welded by this chap.
Yes, but you dont know whether they were 'trying' or not lol !!!
An M3 left in 6th may well get beaten by a Trophy being thrashed from 3rd to 5th, but seriously a 182 isnt faster than any of th quicker cars you mention.
My Edition 30 was quicker than all my friends 1*2's, and i though the Golf...
To be honest, it sounds lovely, but it is quite loud! And a little boomy at 80 on the motorway, fine below & above that though irritatingly. Build quality is fantastic, no leaks and fits perfectly. I also like the way the exhaust tips follow the contours of the bumper.
Used to have a Ktec Ulta...
Im assuming your Trophy is either supercharged, or turbo'd lol .. Having taken my 172 cup, & 182 Trophy to the ring via the good old autobahns, i can safely say that i had my pants pulled down by every other car in the group over 100mph. So an e46 M3, 2 x Z3M's, R32, LCR (mapped), Evo, 911...
Keith, you are aware that the standard 182 cup rear dampers are EXACTLY the same as the Trophy 'Sachs' rear dampers don't you?
Renault simply put 'Trophy' tax on them and charge twice as much.
Hmmm, personally, unless you've already ordered the Bluestuff garbage, id not bother, & perhaps try an obtain a refund. For track, its umm sh1t lol. Godspeed gave out free sets on CS and most people binned them iirc.
Standard discs & DS2500's are all you need, unless you want something a little...
