I don't agree with that necessarily. You can get a decent one for less than £6k that's just on higher miles. Mine must still be worth about £5k on 108k miles and there's no way it isn't 'a decent one'.

I'm in if it's all guaranteed they're the correct spec with confirmation. On the plastic tubing front, I did this in 2017 with stuff I bought off amazon and it's easy enough with hot water and penetrating oil. Will link to the stuff when I get a chance.

I think looking at pretty much any car in terms of a real investment is the wrong way to go about things. In general, I'd say it's the sort of people who won't truly appreciate the cars for what they are that think like that though. Like seeing an F40 that's only done 2k miles and such like.

These days? You make it sound like they're at the bottom of their depreciation! As a percentage I'd say they're worth significantly more than a regular 182, all else being equal. Mine was £5k on over 70k miles 4 years ago. It's now on over 100k miles and I'd suspect I'd get £5k again for it...

Mmm sounds odd. I did my M5 headlights then put a wax on them afterwards and in the 2 years I still had the car from then they were totally fine.

Why are you wanting new ones? If it's because the lenses are cloudy just used a 3M headlight restoration kit.
