Didn't even realise there were bushes to worry about too, the expense is never ending. What are the going rates for front springs just now? Not sure when I'll get the front shocks refurbed but the springs are a bit rusty and likely original.

Your rear top mounts were that bad? What were the fronts like?

Not noticing a difference is making me think to leave it for a while. They don't seem to be too difficult to change out and money is already tight for car related spending this summer so would be easy enough to do whenever.

So much is made of the front shocks for good reason but I was curious to see how many people have replaced the rears. My fronts are in need of a refurb so, when I get round to it, contemplating getting the rears done too given they're on over 92k miles.

The cups aren't new but I can't say the sachs are notably under-performing despite one of them being a bit damp. Certainly couldn't say I've noticed a difference when driving hard.

Looks like I'll be needing these done in the nearish future, garage says the front right is very slightly damp. That along with about £1500 to spend on the bloody Boxster in the next 3 months. Aaarggghhh.

Belts are only a £600-700 cost if you're including the dephaser and water pump otherwise you're paying way too much.

Using the car is what needs to be done. The thought of someone keeping a Trophy wrapped in cotton wool and doing a few hundred miles in a year is depressing. It's like when you see someone that's done high miles in something like a Ferrari, they get it.

Why not just up the premium to reflect the sanity of the customers in question? Very odd.

Well they're £200 brand new delivered from a dealer.

It exposes the seller's ignorance to ask for £6k and not even have an MOT on the thing. He'll be waiting a while, I suspect.
