Thanks all. I've booked it in with MF for full geo. :)
Thanks for the link. Looks like corner weighting isn't for the T then and only really for coilovers.
Hello all, haven't posted here for a while. Still have my T :D it's on 19000m and recently had the dampers serviced at BG.
I had a question about getting the geo/camber done please. Since the dampers were taken out, I've lost the tracking, wheel alignment and camber and need to get it all...
Update: 19000 miles and almost four years old now. Around 10000-12000 of those miles are easy motorway miles. The rest are hard miles. :D
About 4000 miles in the past twelve months.
I know what you mean but Hondas' engineers are very snobby about their cars. Look at their NSX-R for example, All that modifying over a standard NSX but still only 280bhp. Heck even the standard NSX should have more bhp for its price of 70k! But not in their minds.
Nobody can really argue with...
It'll be closer to £30k. Worth it for some as it can compete against the other ricers like the Evos and Subarus if it wants to (I know which one I'd pick). Plus I've been quoted upto 28k for an R26-R anyway so a couple more grand for the Type-R is ok. I'd guesstimate it'll be around 28k-30k. The...
Imo it'll be just as capable as an FD-2 or an R26-R. I think it'll have a better ride than the FD-2 as it's a UK spec car while the FD is speced for Jap roads. Feel etc will be better too I think.
I must admit the styling is very 'rice boy' but that's what you get with a Type R. Isn't it...
...since I saw this!

I've owned no less than three Type R's before my T. Infact, even my first car was a Type R and so I don't doubt for a second that this 'machine' will be an...
£1000? :?
I got a quote from Renault for engine and gearbox mounts and this is what they said:
Drivers side - £75
Passenger side - £47
Rear - £31
Dog bone - £39
Where am I going wrong? :? What is the thousand pounds for? I asked them for all of them and was told that they are all of them...
I was going to suggest the same, as my dad did mine for me too.
You can do it yourself though. I remember him using a small flat-head screwdriver to get to the clip and lightly pry it off as the clips sit quite snug.
I had Koni dampers and uprated springs fitted by MF shortly after 7MAT had his done. I haven't had mine revalved as I thought the only reason for having this done is because the hardest setting for the Konis cannot match the hardest setting for the fronts. I Know Matt preferes his ride very very...
I had this same problem recently. The near side front brake caliper had dried out and was binding the same as yours. Affected the handling massivly. Just needed a nice coat of copper grease and all is fine now.
Hi everyone,
It's been a while since I've been an active member here but this place is still at the top of my bookmarks list! :D I don't have a computer and so I've been visiting here from my phone or occasionally borrowing my sister' laptop. It's a little harder to post here using my Nokia...
Is there any drilling/grinding involved with changing camber? When I had the camber changed to 1.5 on mine, I didn't notice any camber bolts being used. Instead there was drilling to make the hole bigger. Is this normal? Work was done at Mark Fish.
I've got dealers to knock off £4,500 off the car without even trying too hard! Best price I've been offered one for is below £24000 with full option (list-£28400). Almost nearly bought one after seeing it in eCoty.
I'm going to keep the clio though as I feel I'm not really done with it just...
I got mine in June '06 and it still looks new when cleaned.
What a system! I've said it before and I'll say it again, there are exhaust systems and then there is the orbisoud!
Btw i'm quite sure it's a 200 cell Cat, not a 100. Could be wrong though.
Mine went :( Had it replaced under warranty a few months ago. No signs of it going. Just stopped engaging into second one day. Renault said the syncs had gone.
