Just seen that 970 S,yeah that seems like a great price for what is essentially a fully restored car. And as you said,they usually go for a lot more than the £38k this one went for. Colour really suits it as well.

Looking at some of the other results,I think the V8 Esprit went for what looks like a bargain £31,500. I would have guessed £50k+ on something like that. They seem to sort of go under the radar though,unless its something like the Sport 350 or GT3.

There was some stunning cars in that auction but Jesus,some of the prices!! I was watching it live online when that RS500 went for that figure,seems the real trick to driving prices to that level is to have someone in the Middle East bidding 😉 That Fiat Stradale was just stunning,not surprised...

I think you can be pretty sure your not going to be meeting too many of them on the roads. Probably the last of the breed in relation to bonkers,stripped out,throw everything at it,hooligan hatches...unfortunately.

I'm probably wrong on this and I wouldn't rely too much on my memory but I always thought they basically stuck the wider wings onto the originals, which is why they suffered from rust and rot as it was a moisture trap between the two bits of metal.

Having only driven a few of those selected,I would have to say DC2 for the top spot as well. It has the magic handling,great body hugging Recaros where you sit just perfectly and all the controls are just so right. Then to top it off you have that unreal combination of one of the best manual...

That would be a tricky one to compile. It would be great if you could choose cars that have different characteristics,even though all of them are FWD.

You'd imagine that would get quite close to what a Trophy can do,for a nice chunk less money. Generally speaking anyway.

I love any of the gear knobs in any Type-R. Extra nerdy bonus points for the gear-lever cover in the NSX-R NA2 that is mesh and saves a few very vital extra few grammes in weight ;) Not only do they look that extra bit special and of course being made from titanium gives them extra bonus...
