Bigger than the Cup spoiler that's for sure! Is that Coniston Water? Looks so serene. The Lakes is one of my favourite places and has great roads, Kirkstone Pass and Hardknott Pass are just mad!
I've had the Scorpion RS192 fitted by myself almost 3 years ago and I've had no problems and I believe one of the first to have one fitted to a Trophy  . If it's leaking, then not enough fire gum/high temp silcone had been applied to the joins. It's still sitting in the same position...
The Trophy is a fast car, but very much doubt they were trying or you have bigger balls than they did. Official top speeds of Boxters and Caymans from the lowest to the highest range between 159mph to 171mph, the bog standard 911 C2 does 177mph! But the new Audi S3 and Golf R32 are limited to...
Halford's own brand is produced for them by Comma and is bascially a re-brand of their Syner-G product which is a hydro-cracked mineral based oil where crude oil has been refined to the point where the molecular structure has completely changed. TITAN Pro Race S is an excellent ester based oil...
I just use Halfords fully synth 5w-40 as it meets all the requirements and standards stipulated by Renault and usually there's an offer/promotion on at the time of purchase. Personally I don't see the point of spending lots on fancy oils, unless of course you are going to enter a 24hr endurance...
If it's the MK1 Focus RS, it's in band k (£260) but so are lots of other performance cars pre March 2006, BMW M3, Porsche 996/Boxster S, Nissan 350Z, Mazda RX8, Honda S2000, Golf R32, Mitsi Evo 8 (imports £200!), etc....yes, I'm browsing potentials too! :D
I have one of these: http://www.pelapumps.co.uk/default.aspx?a10page=pl6000
Been using it for a few years and on different cars I've owned in the past. It sucked out all 5 ltrs of oil as I filled it with 5ltrs of new oil. I guess the 0.1ltr of oil was still in the filter which wasn't changed...
Did an oil change last night using my old Pela pump that draws the oil out through the dip stick hole. Bish, bash, bosh, all done in 20 minutes without touching a jack, axle stand or getting oil anywhere. Filled the car with 5l of Halfords 5/40 fully synth and since I needed new screw drivers...
If it is anything like this one, they are supposed to be really good quality system. I can't comment on the noise though but I would suspect it will be a lot louder than standard.
You must be a demon driver!! I get understeer when it's wet but not when it's dry where I get all 3 wheels working going into a bend on a trailing throttle, don't have the balls to go for full on lift off oversteer yet!
Are there any real advantages to having a rear ARB on a car with torsion beam rear suspension? The beam on the Clio is pretty stiff as it and doesn't flex much and with the rear being relatively light hence why it is able to cock a wheel under heavy cornering; the lift caused in part by the...
I have to admit, I have been checking out autotrader for 197's and in particular the F1 R27. But just concerned with the running costs and also in terms of driving thrills the 197 doesn't match the rawness you get with the Trophy(?). Having said that, I've not driven one yet.
Without knowing what you will be using the laptop for and what features are important, eg, lightweight for portability, large screen for viewing movies, large hard drives for storage of photos/movies, fast processor/graphics for image and video encoding, etc, you could start by looking here for...
Depends on what you are going to be using the laptop for. If it's just for surfing the web, then a laptop with Windows7 will do fine. Decent ones can be had for around £400.
Oops! Sorry. I just clicked the Board Index and recent topics, I didn't think to look at the section title, schoolboy error on my part.!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
It's not illegal to sell HID kits! If a car passes MOT with them fitted, doesn't mean it's legal. However, there will be changes to the law with regards to MOTs. Come December 2011, all aftermarket HID's will mean an automatic MOT failure. Just thought people should know.
The xenons on the Accord Type R are not aftermarket and comply with European type approval ECE 98, ECE 48 and have headlamp cleaning and are self levelling. They are not converted from an existing halogen even though the front lens might suggest otherwise. Internally, the headlamp and are...
