Do you still have this steve?
One of my mates in worthing, and another from bognor are both extremely interested in a white R26 but it says on your website the white one is sold? Either way i recommended you and said you'd definitely sort them with a good model locally.
Cheers guys, much appreciated :)
Is the front camber adjustable as standard? just by loosening the strut to hub bolts and adjusting the angle? Or do you need the special camber adjusting cam bolts?
Hi All.
I'm getting my geometry set up again this weekend, it's not been done since new, and at nearly 50k it's definitely off, what with having to hold my steering wheel a few degrees to the right to go straight!
Soooooo. I'm presuming it's all trophy specific:
Toe?
Caster?
Camber...
I've been looking too and can't find one.
For previous cars i've been able to get them off ebay, usually official manufacturers manuals from when dealers have closed down etc.
If you get one i'll pay for scans of certain sections :D
The autoexpress reviews have always raved about philips bulbs, i did a training course at their lighting centre in croydon a few years back and they really were at the forefront of their game, i still deal with philips lighting guys to this day and it's top stuff. The reviews i read showed the...
Trophy near gatwick this morning heading in newchapel direction. I was heading the opposite way, at about 8:20am
It's rare that i see trophys on the road, they look so great :D
Basically just don't try and sell!
I went to order a 197 with all of the trimmings, got offered £5500, laughed, then offered 6 and told them that they must think i'm a mug, then up to £6250. Then i decided i'd keep the trophy and do some stuff to it to tart it up a bit and make it like a new...
Indeed, the standard wheel is cool anyway.
Hmm i wonder about a red stripe on the top of the wheel, 197/R26 style ;)
My fabia vRS had a nice perforated leather wheel, same as passats, TTs etc and it was the most comfy wheel i've ever held, and i drive a fair few different cars! It was nicely...
Not that i know of ^
I shall be getting it retrimmed in nice dark grey perforated leather and black alcantara. Just trying to find a well reputed trimmer in the south east!
They don't send speeding tickets from cameras, if you get caught by an officer though they will either charge you on the spot or if it's serious enough they will impound your car as a deposit for a court appearance...
Following on from the rear seats and doorcards thread...
I know it's a common problem for the clio steering wheels to melt and the thumb grips to fall apart. I thought my wheel was fine, but recently i've noticed the wheel is slowly melting where my hands sit on the wheel.
And to be honest...
Glad you guys like it, the doorcards are definitely worth it, the plastic is softer and almost leather like, and the alcantara is nicely padded and soft, looks and feels nicer :D
The rear seats aren't a perfect match because the alcantara is perforated but they bring a more luxurious feel and...
If you're into mountain biking you should try Penshurst Off Road place, used to go there 4+ times a week when i was younger, it's thousands of acres purpose built for bikers, quite a few of the big championship races take place there for downhill, has courses to cater for everyone! Not been for...
Hi!
My Trophy needs new rear discs, now i know they incorporate the bearings so i would need to change them too realistically.
Now i know i should really get original renault bearings(probably skf or something) as i want them to last a good amount of time. And i want to get half decent quality...
When my car felt very strange to drive and had all new suspension all round, it was the steering rack, not a clio but still.
That particular car ate 3 steering racks in 4 years of track days and hard road/rallying.
Let me know how the dampers feel please mate, i'm thinking of getting mine rebuilt as they are going to be on over 50k soon so i'm guessing i will see a good improvement having them redone! Rather fix stuff before it goes totally tits up
Ref this problem, sorry to dredge the thread but oh well.
When i pull away(usually 30 secs max idling), the car pulls away fine, then after 2.5k it starts to hold back, then when i change gear, when letting the clutch up it bogs down, the same as an old car did when i unplugged the lambda for...
All worth a ponder, cheers guys :D
Luke maybe we'll meet at the 'ring again and you can show me how the suspension affects how it drives ;)
Braided hoses, they're now on my list!
Got a few niggles to sort still though
Get pics up asap, i should be picking 172 doorcards and rear bench up in the next few weeks! Mmm leather and alcantara :D
You only live down the road too i think T5PHY? Seen you a few times in tonbridge, usually driving one of my other cars lol
I've reduced my car fleet to just the trophy now, and an impending company car.
So i've decided to allow myself to start modifying again!
What have you all done to your trophies, and were the mods worth it?
So far i've just fitted decent bulbs and a great stereo system.
Just ordered a 172...
