I am looking to get my dampers rebuilt and change the rears to konis in the nxt month or so...but Was wondering about changing my springs - which are a good buy? I used to have Eibach Sportlines on my 172 cup but they were mainly for looks, where the prolines seem to be better for the handling...

I'm hopefully getting mine refurbed when the funds alow in the nxt coming weeks - been quoted £220 for all 4 fully refurbed - and If I bought the tires (as I am needing some soon!) they would fit all 4 for £20 so £240 all in. Powder coating is slightly more expensive

Ah don't worry about it....my old 172 cup on coilovers used to sit like that, if you turn your steering (full lock) they will usually touch somewhere. If there is no knocking don't worry! :)

I am debating either decat or sports cat? I fancy a decat but restricts me slightly when coming to sell the whole system - where a sports cat will be on plus side! as he will be cutting the 'ball & trumpet' off it won't be a 'standard' cat back system anymore. Any ideas would be helpfull! :)

Bringing this back from the dead again! I have had some very 'slight' issues with my orb - getting it spot on from the start was never going to happen but I got close. being a cat back system the joint at the cat was causing the main fault! could never get it to seal right :x in the end I...

Yeah just had a slight problem with it matching up to the cat - the clamp was tightening more on the orb than the cat so the cat was moving around in the clamp :( But have managed to buy a new deeper clamp which seemed to have done the trick :) it is quiet though (being the quiet version lol)...

its not the exhaust cooling down as some of you are thinking - as jonc said it sounds like noisy tappets, just curious as my old 172 cup never made a noise this loud!
