I know the owner and he is an absolute gentleman and true petrol head. His car collection is incredible. James (JayEmm) is due back down to shoot more of the collection in the future... (y)
:) You'd be more than welcome and I can guarantee a warm reception! Thankfully the Weekender seems to attract decent folks who are genuine enthusiasts and who are more interested in enjoying their cars rather than what someone paid for theirs. Admittedly this year's Weekender is somewhat up in...
Cheers Frayz, I really appreciate the gesture but I have to be realistic. If I bought the system the first thing I would have to do is get it modified as I want it back to fully running a cat. Before you know it I'm a grand plus in and I'm struggling to justify that given the grief I've been...
An exhaust system is one of the last things I need on mine before she comes home. Had the damn thing not already cost me half the price of my GT4 I would have bitten your hand off. Alas, I can't justify spending so much on the exhaust now given the fact the car owes me so much and I haven't even...
This makes me sad. :( But I can respect the reasons and glad you have been able to enjoy it.
Do you have any pics of the Snappy steering wheel mate? I may be interested as mine is a mess and I was looking to get it done at some point so...
Yup, I got the official valuation through Porsche a couple of weeks ago for my Agreed Value policy with the GT4. (y)
If @Nik can't help then there are a few Clio specialists who can!
Unfortunately there is no easy way, Neil. :( This is a problem most of us Trophy owners have when it comes to insurance time. It seems that there are not as many insurers out there [willing to provide an Agreed Value policy on the Trophy] as there used to be; hence it tends to be a case of...
I agree with the above - definitely remove the strut as that one is nothing more than eye-candy / additional weight. My ex bought one for me once, which was later replaced with the Pure Motorsport item and top mounts. Much better.
How dense is the traffic?
How competent is the driver?
How brave is the driver?
Full lap or BTG?
TF or dedicated track day?
Are the back seats up or down?
Here's a piece of string and a tape measure... :)
After 5-6 years without much movement my bearings weren't in great shape. They were knackered to be honest. Worth giving those a check over just to be on the safe side.
Wow - if it is ProSpeed then I've never seen them make a system like that! I regretted selling mine as it was superb over the decade I had it. Not a single problem and it came with a lifetime (and transferable) guarantee.
I wish I'd never sold my Pro-Speed system - let it go for peanuts, too. :( I now need a new (full) system for mine as that is the last thing it needs before it can come home (oh, and an MOT).
Cheers @frayz - one of my favourite threads, full of great pics and useful information. The only negative being that it makes me even more desperate to get out for a drive! :(:ROFLMAO:
Options are limited - you could go to a custom spring maker and pay a premium to have a copy of the original items made (assuming the specs are known) or go with something aftermarket that doesn't sway too far away from OEM. My personal recommendation would be either Eibach Sportlines or the...
