It will be down to the driver. It's so close. Just turn traction control off and get a clean start. :D
I'd say those trophy times are definately beatable. I've done 6.5 with a bit of wheelspin.
Pete,
I'd say spend as much time as you can learning the track on Gran Tourismo / Forza / Project Gotham. I went last year and really wished I'd learnt a basic knowledge of the track before hand.
Much of the German stuff is pretty impressive. When I turned up I saw two GT3's and...
I took this from their website.....

I used Clean Image in chelmsford for a couple of parking dings in my door. They have a guy that comes in on Saturday mornings. He did a good job of those. No sign of them now.
Yeah, before and after runs would be good. I fitted mine last weekend. Sounds good, if a bit loud at times and feels great.
Mine feels much better, but I think that's because one of the standard pipes had broken. My car had been feeling slow in traffic and i've finally realised it was...
Marky,
It's difficult to say which order is best really. I think if you can afford to do all the California Superbike school levels, then you could probably stretch to sqeezing in a day at Brands indy first. I would.
Some of the trackdays have instructors which you can book...
Sounds like a good plan. I'm planning on going to a superbike school soon too. Having been on track a couple of times I've found it great for improving my cornering and braking ability. It gave me loads of confidence.
Very nice! I have a K6 750 in black and I wouldn't swap it for anything at the moment. Seriously addictive adrenalin rush! Great fun to be had with porsche's and the like :D
Have you been on track yet? That's where it belongs.
Firstly I'd say you need to get a drive in a car fitted with one. I've heard the loud versions are very loud for motorway driving.
I have a quiet version but it seems to reverberate through the cabin a bit in the midrange. I might look into adding some kind of shield under the car. I...
I thought the Trophy was only lowered 10mm at the front and nothing at the back. Not sure though. That would mean a 10mm drop at the front and 15 at the back.
Hi Rob,
That's right. It's always good to see another Trophy.
I was trying to listen to your exhaust, but I couldn't hear it over mine :D
Enjoy the car anyway.
I followed you this morning. Have you fitted an anti-roll bar on the rear suspension? How much difference does it make? It looks quite low to the ground!
Luke.
Saw this last night at the Gym. Orbisoud exaust the same as miine. I'd be interested to hear it if it's the loud version. Mine's the soft version, and It's loud enough I think. :D
Luke. (HV55)
Mine was pretty easy to do. Just find the grub screw in the side of the red dial and undo with a 2mm allen key. Gently lever the dial off making sure you don't lose the 2 ball bearings underneath. Knock the retaining pin through just enough so that it doesn't interfere with the ball bearing...
I think the dampers play a big part in the difference. I unpinned mine at the weekend and when you stiffen them up the turn in gets a bit hyperactive :D
My car had stored a fault. It appears that the ESP and service lights came on due to a faulty steering sensor. I'll be having this replaced on Friday.
Still not sure this would have prevented the car starting though.
Emissions light doesn't come on Cue.
The first time this happened the car wouldn't start. I'm just a bit concerned about getting stranded again. It does sound like it's the brake switch though.
Jimboss, I think they all idle roughly.
I've been watching this recently on a scandisk OBD reader I have. It shows the air inlet temperature. On normal driving the air temperature is about 10 degrees C above the outside air temperature. When I was caught in traffic the temperature rose to about 30 degrees above the outside...
Thanks. It's nothing to do with hard driving with mine either. I can't see anything wrong with the connections, so I'll talk to the garage.
I guess it would have to disable the cruise control otherwise it wouldn't switch off when you press the brake pedal. I'll try it if it happens again.
Thanks guys.
I guess it would't hurt to reflash the ECU.
Cue, the lights were showing for about half an hour while the fault reader was plugged in but it didn't read any faults. I think they went out when I switched it off and on again though. I hope It wasn't a waste of money, but...
Anyone know any more on this? I had my ESP/Traction control light and service light come on over christmas and the car wouldn't start. No other lights. The AA couldn't get it to start but the next day it went on it's own. When I got to the garage the lights had gone out and there were no fault...
