Hi Craig, thanks for the reply.
I actually ordered a copy last night on your website.
I can see it coming to about €30 once Vat and any other little sneaky charges are added by our delightful import inspectors.
It's a pity, but theres not much that can be done about it.
I'm sure you will have...
Great to see you are going to print Craig,I think there is a demand there for something like this.
And I can only guess there ain't going to be no EV talk in this 😉
Do you post to Ireland?
Man isn't the car buyers world nearly unrecognisable from just a few years ago.
You would certainly need a good chunk more readies now, even to buy just one of those iconic cars.
Sounds like this is going to be a cracking edition of Evo.
Look forward to getting a copy in 2/3 weeks when it lands on the shelves over here.
Then it will be onto Autotrader to see how much scrimping is required to get my arse into one of the cars listed 🙄
Is this another one that you might call good value.
A William's 1 thats just gone for £13k that's seemingly had a good few parts and a respray recently?
Its probably not a concours quality car but still...
In the grand scheme of things and when you've seen so many properly good enthusiasts
cars going stratospheric with their prices over the last few years, I think that is not a bad
price at all.
Looking at the pictures and reading the description, that is a really very good example.
You can tell...
From the description
"For the last seven years, it has been dry stored on a vehicle lift to avoid any weight on the wheels."
I can honestly say, I have never heard of this being done before, keeping the weight off the wheels.
Anyone any ideas of why this might be done or why it might be seen...
Strictly this isn't a Trophy (obviously) but I just thought it was a very nice example of a 182 Cup.
You can tell a bit of money has been spent looking after it and its had some careful previous owners by the looks of it at least...
Hell of a lot of time and money gone into that.
I've started to notice more show cars with those ultra clean and tidy
engine bays, with all of the wiring and nearly everything else hidden away.
It would go very well with that engine and the fact it probably only weighs
in or around 8/850 kgs...
I will be the first to admit that compared to many others I have only driven a few truly great cars.
Luckily there were a few DC2's around me in the early/mid 2000's,brilliant brilliant cars.
I still don't think there is a much better seat for holding you and comfort than the Recaro SR3.
And...
The automotive version of Pixie Dust 😂
That's a lovely looking GP2 Nick,I always thought they just needed some nice Recaro's to really finish them off, considering the image they were trying to put on that particular model.
Very interesting to read about the sellers experience.
Overall, it seems CC have a fairly decent service and way of working, but of course
its not all 100% perfect, I guess as with most things in life.
As you say, as they have expanded so quickly and into so many countries now,
being able to...
I totally missed this.
I can only imagine the insurance company having heart palpitations when they got the call
"Ah,there was just a slight little issue with the old 250 GTO....we just had a little bit of flames...."
Looks a bit like a special Titanic edition underneath.
Everything is fixable though, depends if the next owner wants to spend the money.
Should be a good car after a bit of work you'd imagine.
Yeah it would be very unfortunate if you got an itchy nose half way through this car auction Nick 😉
It might be a real tough tester of your willpower to not buy....
What are pretty decent DC2's generally selling for now Nick?
Would really like a DC2 someday, absolutely brilliant piece of kit.
I dont think you will have too much trouble getting plenty of interest in your car, especially with that sort of mileage and of course being a one owner car.
Best of luck with the sale.
