Agreed, @Ashtons99 - there are a lot of dreamers but Ad isn't / wasn't in this case. As he's local to me we'd already been discussing meets, mods, best things to look out for on the Trophy, etc. It's unfortunate as I was, selfishly, looking forward to seeing another Trophy in the local area!

Nope - that's a little unfair mate. Not everyone is a dreamer :) He's genuinely had a change in circumstances and can't proceed. He does have some Clio Trophy club stickers for sale as they turned up today.

It sounds like you're likely staying with Scorpion but I will add that I had an exhaust from ProSpeed in Cardiff and it was faultless. I only sold it on due to needing something a little bigger for my latest modifications. It was in fantastic condition, despite being the best part of a decade...

Reviewers are raving about it, Chris. They reckon it's better than the Porsche Cayman in pretty much every respect and it sounds superb too. I'd love to take one for a spin.

Yes mate - although it's not sold widespread. You generally need to find a WHSmiths or subscribe to the magazine. I'm not sure if it is particularly well-stocked in other outlets (if at all).

The first time my Sachs were refurbed it was found that my rods were both scored badly, hence new replacements were needed. By the time the damaged parts had been replaced and the refurb complete, I was £1100 lighter. Add £700 to that for a cambelt service and it's not far off £2k really. I...

With all due respect, Andy's a bit of a weird fella. There's no doubt he's a fan of the Trophy but it's laughable when he tries to make out that he actually owns one! Deluded! :P

No - I don't think it is, Tim. My understanding is that the only way is by checking the sticker on the Recaro seat base (which isn't ideal!)

I didn't think you'd struggle to sell it at that price. Even with having to drop a new engine in it's coming in less than current market value.

No idea when it comes to standard engines, Dave... :P ;) Realistically I reckon you could get an engine for 3-400 quid (using the ancillaries, etc. you already have) and then factor in 5-600 for cambelt, couple hundred extra for fluids and other miscellaneous / unexpected items. If you can fit...

That's a shame mate. Someone just needs to drop a second hand engine in there and they've got a nice Trophy to enjoy for decent money. Especially if they can do the work themselves. Mansfield, eh? My hometown. I'll be up at the weekend visiting my folks and sister.
