Worth waiting till Spring to sell my Trophy?

I would wait for advertising widespread but an ad on here would be worth a shot.

    Tyres.!!!

This isn't salted, this is just damp areas I know well.

    Tyres.!!!

I can see why the rule is to fit new tyres to the rear where possible. I have adhered to this before but since I figured the Goodyears on the rear still had about 6mm on them I'd give it a go with new tyres staying on the front. I've had a few instances of oversteer recently in the cold and...

    What’s it worth?

To be honest, on principle I just hope not too many are unused garage queens, it'd be a complete waste of the car.

    What’s it worth?

Higher miles but well maintained would be the best bet to get good value. Values still have plenty of time to creep up I'd say. I bought mine for £5k at 78k miles, it's now on just over 99k and I think I could get the same back for it.

WANTED: Clio 182 Trophy (sub 75k miles)

That still sounds like you'd be taking it to the most expensive place you can find. I was £500 at cornering force and about £600 for both belts, dephaser, water pump and wheel alignment at a Renault specialist. So belts alone would be a good bit cheaper.

WANTED: Clio 182 Trophy (sub 75k miles)

I'd be wondering what on earth I was doing if I paid anywhere near £2k for the belts and a damper refurbishment.

    Tyres.!!!

I'll update that the PS3's have been spot on, glad I went for these as a more rounded tyre.

Looking to buy my first trophy

I'm not selling but if you were wanting a car to look over to get familiar you'd be more than welcome. I'm in Carnoustie.

    Tyres.!!!

Update- just got PS3's in XL guise fitted today, will see how different they feel. Just pressing the sidewall by hand it's obvious how little flex they have in comparison to the Goodyears. Liked the idea of the AD08R's but on a recent drive over the Cairn O'Mount in cold, greasy conditions, the...

    Worse thing possible

This must be super rare on these engines. Was the oil level sound?

    Worse thing possible

Have you had a look at where the belts are situated for anything obvious?

    Tyres.!!!

Any joy in the end? I'm unsure what to go for next, it's between the XL PS3 or the AD08R. I've had Goodyear Eagles more or less since I got it and although happy with them, lots of people say they're not the best for feel and precision due to being so soft. That's not just Trophy owners but...

    Clio Trophy #491 - £6500

As it shouldn't. No doubt not helped with the time of year but I'd keep that over the winter if it comes to it.

    Trophy Number 478 £5875

What are the Yokohama's like? I just noticed they're about the same price as PS3's on blackcircles and I need 2 new tyres soon.

Best place to buy replacement heater control panel

Prying the cover off is easy. The fiddly bit with that is getting the replacement cover back on while keeping the springs and plastic gubbins for the AC and recirculation switches in place. Took me a couple of attempts but it is manageable. Just remember and check the two buttons work there and...

Best place to buy replacement heater control panel

I bought mine from mossy. If you're only doing this to replace a badly peeled original then it's far, far easier to pop off the cover of the assembly and just swap them round. Still a bit of a scutter but replacing the whole thing with the fan connection cables etc. at the back looks like an...

    Knocking from front end

I've had similar for a while and am no further forward as all mounts are fine. Only happens when coming off the accelerator, never when accelerating. I did find a post on the Clio forum when it turned out to be the carbon cannister for someone after going through similar with the mounts. Yet...

    Trophy 31/500 Reluctantly for Sale

What did you manage to get for it? Mine is on similar mileage and curious to see what selling prices have actually crept up to.

    Do I sell?

I've owned 2 cars at a time for a while now and I've found the more eclectic the pairing the better. (Trophy and an M5, now the Trophy and a Boxster) With that many cars I'd be looking for more variation personally, don't see the point in having so many of the same thing. It's nice to be able...

Eagle F1 compared to PS3 XL

Back to this as the fronts don't have loads left in them. If I were to replace these with the XL PS3's, would having the other 2 as non-XL tyres (until they wore out) have a detrimental effect?

182 vs Trophy- can you tell the difference?

To go full circle, I've just today refitted the refurbished Sachs dampers. Given I've been driving on the cup dampers and springs for a while now I feel like I can give my input, albeit I've only had a short drive on the fresh Sachs I know the roads well and was pushing on. A 20 minute blast...

    Coolant loss

Very slow, from max to min on the expansion tank in around 1600 miles. Recently replaced the cap with an original Renault one to no avail. Thread here at cliosport- http://www.cliosport.net/threads/182-expansion-tank-cap.809050/ Pressure tested the system with no drop or signs of leaks but the...

    Front spring plastic protectors.?

Just refitted my springs to the shocks today. Around 75-80cm is the length you want to cut the tubing, this gives you the coverage as in the picture of mine. You'll want a tub of very hot water to soak it in and a penetrating oil of some description. Don't worry if it gets stuck a couple of...

    Thinking of Selling My Trophy
