Saw a Trophy crossing the bridge towards the power station today about 4.30pm. Trophy had a bike rack and a bike on the back. Couldn't quite see the plate, but fairly sure it began with W-something.
Just a quick one, when I start driving in the V6 the doors lock once its doing about 10 mph, in the Trophy they don't. Is there any easy way to make the doors lock like the V6 does? or do I need the software, laptop and cable/plug arrangement? :?
Thanks Lee
I used to have an M3 CSL which didn't have a dipstick either :(
I work with electronics and electrical stuff on a day to day basis and there is no way I would put all my trust in them. :!:
Hey Steve, I'm glad it has arrived safe and sound! If I had kept it, I was tempted to strip out the interior, etc and put some better brakes on it. From the rallye website, the Pug 206 Gti 266mm front discs are a popular and fairly cheap conversion. Also, with a bit of headwork and a decent cam...
I think the editorial in Evo summed it up a couple of months back when he said about Peugeot used to be the hot hatch kings where they could do no-wrong, and now they are just plain useless! That 206 GTI 180 was a right load of old poo. I hated it. Thank god its dead.
Without digressing, I...
I've been in one - albeit only for about 2 miles and it was at a very sedate pace :) My friend was absolutely paranoid about anything happening to the car.
Not much help but it could even be an earthing problem. If one of your earthing connections is getting damp then the resistance will increase thus causing your car to behave badly. Alternatively, if you have an electrical connection elsewhere that is not entirely waterproof, the dampness could...
I think if you look through most high performance car forums, Silkolene Pro-S is really getting some very good PR (nothing to do with Oilman I'm sure  ). Anyway, most of the technicians and engineers that I know put the Silkolene stuff in their own cars, which I think speaks for itself. It...
Look, changing the exhaust and air filter fair enough, but how far do you really want to go with a very rare and sought after car. If you really want to go down that road, why not just sell the Trophy, buy a cheaper 182 and spend the change on the mods you want.
From a financial view, doing...
Yep it is 002, ReaGroup did have it for a while, so I guess it probably was at their London West site (as they have just about the biggest RS stock there). It is an ex-press car, used by Autocar as a longtermer. Was also featured in CAR magazine and was on the Trophy presentation DVD thingy...
Unfortunately, tyre foam has its limitations and this will usually become apparent at the most inconvenient moment. I much prefer having a spare - even a space saver, at least you can still move - albeit at 50mph
It is difficult. With the mileage on the V6 it almost makes me want to use the Trophy as a daily driver and tuck the V6 up in the back of my garage. :?
A couple of fresh piccies taken today.
Ha, Ha, just noticed 'big peaches' being labelled as CAPS LOCK KING and also 'stromba and aliases' being labelled as Stromba Watch. Very amusing!
I've thought of something that could be quite good to sell in the online shop..... High quality carpet tailored floor mats - complete with the Clio Trophy logo. I need some anyway, so I'm probably going to get some made up and I'll take some pics and post them up here for any comments or...
I don't think they have any trophies tucked away, as the numbers were all allocated as far as I know, but I guess time will tell. If you ask your dealer they'll tell you that the very latest V6's ever registered were on an 06 plate......... so what they tell you and what is fact are not...
