    Good article!

AAAAAAAAARRRRRGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! It's Brakes on a car, Breaks in a canteen!!!!! You guys are also completely wrong, Rex is a really nice guy, he's a maths teacher and used to put logic puzzles and stuff up on RS which I was nearly always first to complete. He was one of the only guys on there...

    Mazda MX-5 Mk 1 1.6i SE Black (1993) £2,995

Thanks Cue, it is in tip-top condition, We've hardly used it really, it deserves a good home. DfV - We're not replacing it, we're both walking to work now so only really need one car for larking about it. Can't get much shopping in the MX-5 and I'd miss my Integra too much, so we're keeping...

    Mazda MX-5 Mk 1 1.6i SE Black (1993) £2,995

My MX-5 is for sale! Anyone fancy a bit of RWD action for the weekend? I took the pictures today, it's a beautiful car, makes the Mk 3 look like a real dog's dinner. http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/474358.htm

Yes, I got mine from Steve C (artdealer on here) with 298. They are £50 for the pair IIRC.

    Trophy 168/500 £7895

Fucking Hell that's cheap. If they come down any more i'm going to buy one back! I really miss the stealthy performance, hard to drive the Integra fast without looking like a camel's toe. Good luck with the sale, it looks mint. :D

    What would you do?..

Scirocco R36 will be a great coupe. I was overtaken by an R32 on the M4 a while back, it sounded very nice and appeared to be very rapid indeed. It would probably be quicker than a Trophy on a wet track but I don't think it would offer the same level of driver involvement. My advice - get...

A quick test of your car knowledge....

OK so I wasn't really wrong, I said 996 911 which that GT3 is and; I presumed it was a 308 as 288 (which has a nearly identical body is uber rare. Your picture is of a 997 GT3 Cue. Shame on you.

Performance Car magazine - Issue 1

Hi Guys Sorry I haven't posted in a while, thought I would just bring your attention to a stunning new car magazine, it's not a re-release apparently but shares the title with the original publication. I bought it in the airport on my way to Rome and devoured it mostly before we touched down...

    LV55 XOG @ PH meet

Damn, I very nearly went to that too. Would have loved to see the old girl again. Very pleased to hear XOG has got an exhaust it deserves. If I hadn't bought a new flat it would have got a Milltek/Orbisoud, one of the only things a Trophy needs, a bit more vocal character. Glad to hear...

Must work harder. Must be single. Must dump mortgage and rent a shithole of a flat again. Um.or... Must leave work at five, have sex on tap with woman of my dreams, live in nice flat that I own and drive best fwd car of all time...

    Civic Type R FD2 On It's Way ...

A common misconception about VTEC, it has actually utilises the benefits of two cam profiles, the switchover point being where the torque curve of the first meets the torque curve of the second, therefore maximum torque all the time, it just feels like a wallop as the change in gradient of the...

    EVO's "The Knowledge" online

Yep, they were taken in the wet. And to think the same journalists got 5.5 secs to 60 from my silly old heap. I think you'll find the bread van has VTEC too! EP3 not really in the the same league as DC5 in my humble opinion, 6 gears is something the DC5 has that I wish the DC2 had, it makes...

    Civic Type R FD2 On It's Way ...

That is one crazy handbrake design! I want one so badly it hurts, but sadly I can hardly afford to keep it's spirtual grandfather on the road, doing up flats is an expensive business! Would you do me 0% finance over 5 years Steve? The deposit being a very well kept DC2, all original with a...

    Trophy Reviews

http://cliotrophy.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2504 All in one place, although as Jules said, some are probably dead links now. TBH it only took about 20 minutes to trawl through Google to find them all. Then four hours to read them all, realise I had one outside and go for a...

    Clio 182 or Trophy

Brilliant album, brilliant band. No Pixies - No Nirvana. The same could be said of someone with a 996 GT3 RS on the 'Ring as his avatar. Arguably the best Porsche ever made, if for no other reason than it's got a transfer for it's bonnet badge to save weight! I bet they're still laughing in...

Where to service? Dealers or Specialist?

Ren-Tech. They're the best. And also happen to be cheaper than Renault. If I was buying another Trophy, I would look for a full, Ren-Tech service history!

    Put the tomato on steroids

Most are under Highway Insurance if it's a hot hatch. Greenlight are excellent, £50 fully comp for my trackdays with a £500 excess, try getting that service from Admiral etc. That's a sexy set-up Steve, makes great sense getting the induction and exhaust at the same time, de-cat and...

Slight Creaking From Front of Car.

I seem to remember this happened when I drove down my speedhumped road in the morning but only for the first few humps, it was like the dampers were cold or something. I never got it checked because it didn't last longer than a few hundred yards so it wouldn't have done it in the dealership...

..and some others from the day. Nice to meet you guys, you were both very quick when I was on track, couldn't keep up at all, had to let one of you past at one point I seem to remember. I'll be back with some fresh tyres (and a tiny bit more talent) for a rematch!

    RS Owners Take The Biscuit

Buying an RS new was a very sound purchase. They were selling second hand for up to £23K at the launch because they were in such demand. Even the poor write-ups and a paultry three stars from evo hasn't dented their residuals. Most RS owners know that no two are alike, from the factory power...

Interior mat set for a trophy

Stevo They were £79.99 for four mats from Autostyle, I loved them as does the current owner. I got so used to them when I saw other Trophys I thought their mats were missing!

    22,000 falling apart!!!

Don't worry, the gaiter is only 7 quid and it can go over the gear knob then it zips up with a zip tie from underneath. I actually snapped the cereal box tabs off the gaiter while fitting my new gear knob. Have you thought about doing this? The standard one is pretty nasty and it won't be long...

    350z or R26??

You'll probably find in everday driving the R26 is the quicker car. More practical too. Easier to learn handling. Much more space. Better power/weight with the remap. Hell, more outright power with a good remap. Cheaper to run. Arguably a better all round proposition. Z.
