Personally, on the grounds of the pictures, I think it looks hideous from the front. The back however, looks quite tasty...
Clearly it would have to be pretty impressive to replace the humble T...
From memory, the current S3 doesn't seem to have been the greatest of successes??
4wd would be great but would the extra weight and more lossy drivetrain be a drain on the ultimate performance? The touted figures would suggest not, but they are just predictions?!..
thoughts?
I like the semi subtleness of it versus the full on Focus RS. Sadly daytime running lights are already becoming a cool chav addition so I'm not sure they'll do it any favours..
Hmmm, I have the shiney version - I didn't know there was a matt version available.. As far as I am aware, all those with CF splitters have the shiney version so far?!
Looks good though JTB - I would have considered it, had I realised it was available.
I would LOVE to live somewhere that has such fabulous surroundings. However, living in the town only makes me appreciate the countryside even more! Back on topic, the Alpha looks nice..
My mate's defender 110 with winter tyres was an absolute hoot in the snow. He did the decent thing and used it to assist people up hills nearby too - always nice to have the opportuntiy to prove that they're not just pointless gas guzzlers as good old ken would have liked us all to think.
I've just never been able to shift the link of Novas/Corsas and barry boys... Mind you, the clio doesn't have a perfect track record in that respect I guess, but I have managed to look past that. I must say that when I saw the Corsa VXR in pictures and indeed on the road, I did admire its...
I love the misquote of 'The Trophy's a master of all trades and a jack of none' - someone write it in a letter to EVO!
I know of a guy who had a S1 Rallye and he absolutely loved it. If I was in the position of commuting to work by car rather than train then a Rallye would rightly or wrongly be...
My Ka was great fun in the snow and never struggled either.. I imagine the skinny tyres went some way to assist that. Must confess that I had a little fun on some private land t'other night when it first snowed. However since then the T has remained safely tucked up on the driveway with a heavy...
I watched a navara in B&Q carpark lastnight, donughting about with a couple of guys being towed behind it on a sledge - looked like great fun :D I took the T out last night to find somewhere to practice a little snow driving - I figure the experience is always worthwhile. Girlfriend didn't find...
Lucky guy - gorgeous looking car! :D
.. Yes I can understand that you'd prefer one over the 360CS...
I haven't read the article yet - only skimmed it, but I like this remark...
"This, the last of the old-school over-engined naturally aspirated hatches, is Renault's perfect...
Oooh Looking forward to getting home and reading this. The subscriber cover was a great idea in my opinion. Although I wouldn't mind some other incentives or thank you's for being a reasonably long standing subscriber..
Re losing more weight - judging by some recent threads, lighter seats might...
I have shamefully had an intermitent stalk lying around awaiting fitting for at least a yr now...
I don't drive the car a huge amount so I don't notice so much!
What I would really like someone to do is come up with a mod to eliminate the ridiculously noisey relay for the wipers...
Wow, it's travelled a long distance from it's original home down here in Romford, Essex...!! Enjoy the car, it's the first one I ever saw on the road. :D
Did someone say pink Trophy!?
One I messed around with last year on the way to the Alps... I was bored and couldn't sleep on the snow train...
I believe that's exactly what oliie did. From memory he had a full focal set up including components in the front and a sub in the boot - he removed the isofix bar to negate the weight gain.. I was at the ace cafe meet 2 yrs ago but sadly didn't sit in the car to hear it. Gazza did and he said...
I guess it depends upon how much of an audiophile you are... One of the original owners fitted really nice Focal (I think) speakers into his Trophy and those who were lucky enough to sit in it said that it was a fantastic sound. Personally, I'm happy with the standard setup as I don't spend...
