You're not the first person to ask but I'm afraid I've no idea where they are from. Car had 3 owners before me I believe so could have been any of them that fitted them. So they aren't genuine Renault then?
Supplier have said warranty is not transferable (exhaust is 13 months old FFS!) but they'd like to inspect anyway... :?
So as I understand it they will inspect to see what's wrong but do nothing about it...will wait and see what their reply is like.
Cheers for the info. Hopefully I'll get a reply out of them in the next few days. God knows how they manage to charge nearly £400 if they are sh!te quality! :o
Thanks a lot for the help chaps, so you reckon its the heatshield just needing re-adjusted so it doesn't contact the exhaust? Failing that I will get in contact with the garage that fitted the exhaust. Need a trip home now to properly investigate!
This may sound like a stupid question but what does the heat shield look like?
I'm pretty sure the receipt of nearly £400 for the exhaust is in my folder of docs for the car, when I'm home I'll investigate the possibility of a warranty.
I have a powerflow catback system which was fitted mid 2009 by previous owner I believe. It is very loud IMO which I like but I've recently become aware of a rattling audible at idle and when coasting. I had a look and all I can say is that when you "pat" the left backbox there is said rattle...
I'm in a bit of a quandary over my dampers. My Trophy has done 38k and there are no visible leaks but for some reason I just don't think the car feels as sure footed as it should. I don't have an awful lot of confidence carrying speed into corners but can't put my finger on anything specific. I...
I'm 5'10" and 14 1/2 stone but not as lean as I'd like. Always want to be bigger! I initially lifted weights for rugby but I've long since given that up.
I haven't been training that long (about 2 years I'm 20 now) but I take it pretty seriously:
Squat: 150kg (full depth)
Bench: 130kg approx (haven't tested 1 rep max in a while)
Deadlift: 205kg
Any other lifters on ClioTrophy.co.uk?!
I've driven my Uncle's 200 FF (non-Cup chassis) and like you say performance is pretty similar but the 200 feels a lot more solid and refined. Without the cup chassis the ride is pretty compliant but it doesn't give you quite the same confidence in the twisties I found. The 200 sounds pretty...
Cheers for the replies guys. Its looking like suspending my insurance will just be too problematic as it means I can't drive other cars. #110 is still going to be put away for the winter though unless I fancy the odd run out. Unlikely though. I shall however enjoy the 180 mile run down to her...
Due to a change in financial circumstances :( I'm taking the rather hard decision to suspend my insurance policy (a huge cost for me being 20) and lay #110 up until maybe spring or early summer next year. That way I'll be saved from renewing my insurance again in June as I can potentially...
Hi Jamie,
I'm actually at uni at the moment with 110 tucked up in the garage at home. That'd definitely be a possibility at some stage though. Damn you for making my Trophy less rare though! I've never seen another in Aberdeenshire! What number you got?
110 has a Powerflow catback system and it is VERY loud! I can be heard over a mile away I've been told!
