One owners star coming up next week please.
It's taken me getting in touch with a regional manager at Renault and constant harassment, but they've finally got me one. I'm still not delighted with the dealers, but I should be sitting in a different red car next week :D
Re the windows, whenever I've test driven any 182, they've worked this way. Actually quite handy for me. I like "one touch" windows, my other half prefers "keep them held down" style. Means she gets her preference on passanger side and I get mine when I'm driving :)
Thanks for the help everyone. I'm now looking at trying to get one from another dealer and simply sueing them for any shortfall. When it's all resolved, I'll put full details up, but for now, the simple advice is do NOT use Reg vardy under any circumstances. Although others at work have had...
Yup, deposit taken and order paperwork filled out.
Wow, Matt the cat's link is a dear do, pre-reg/delivery mileage for over a grand more than the new price I negotiated (other cars seem dear too). Maybe it's just that and they simply don't want to do the deal any more as they won't make any...
Still furious now, what do peeps think I should go for as extras if they offer me:
a) full fat with cup packs and Recaros
b) 2nd hand trophy
I'd be wanting more $$$ off and or free servicing/extended warranty
Issue is really that I'll struggle to get the deal I negotiated for new elsewhere, and the price I got is actually cheaper than several of the second hand cars Ive seen already.
I'll let them say their bit tomorrow. If they try and flog me a 182 with toys, I will want even more off, as...
Just had a call from the dealers, who now say they're going to struggle to fulfil the order. On the basis of the order, my other half obtained me a private plate for the car (which would be worthless, as I have a private plate keyed to my current car) and I have obtained a personal loan. Watch...
I do like those stickers!
Yup. know what you mean Day. In normal circumstances (motorway not too busy, in the dry) I'll quite happily go past plod at 75-80. I'm sure most police would rather pull somene for doing 50 in the middle lane and causing mayhem than doing 80 in the outside lane and...
I was in a situation today where if I'd been caught by a speed camera, I'd have been looking at points and fine, but as an actual police man in a car was involved, I was instead thanked. My point is, a Gatso can't use discretion as to whether you're actually putting your own life and others' at...
So, assuming that I actually get a (trophysmall) should I follow the advice in the manual (which I assume will say baby it for 500, open up a bit more next 500 or something similar) or should I make sure she's warmed up properly and then give it death?
Also, is there a 1000 mile mini...
Had a word with the dealers (Reg Vardy) yesterday and they said they'd not been able to get hold of the Trophy from the dealers they were hoping to. They have found 15 unregistered cars with various dealerships, but they are reluctant to hand one over to Reg Vardys.
Vardys claim to be...
Even less, that figure on the Renault site hasn't been updated for a while. As of last Sunday, there were 18 left. Including one at a dealership in Guernsey which has been getting dusty for several months!
Prolly a few less now, as my dealers are blagging one of those for me
Yeah, the cash price is irrelevant when you're looking at a trade in. They could say the Trophy is 2 grand less, but offer you 2 grand less than their usual trade in for your car. All about cost to change really.
For straight cash, you've got to be lucky to get better than £13K. I...
Nice, like the plate too.
Wish it wasn't so far to Knock Hill for me. Last time I was there was when I was working in the Edinburgh office for a week and felt duty bound to nip over the big bridge
I've personally found that "Johnny juice" (Sainsbury's 97 RON super plus) gives a bit better MPG than random crap 95RON, and a bit more oomph to boot.
BTW, if you use supermarket petrol, don't go anywhere other than Tesco or Sainsburys, as they effectively use rebadged Shell and Esso stock...
Sorry, session must have timed out before post hit.
That was inc VAT. Whenever you're trading in, it's better to look at the cost to change really. They can theoretically give you an amazing price for the car, but hold a little more back on the trade in. If you're happy with the deal, that's...
Sure, got quite a good trade in on my current car and £12,750 for the Trophy. Cost to change was the big factor for me, as the the guy at work who was interested in buying my car wasn't in a position to decide one way or the other in the timeframe before the last few Trophys go.
Didnt...
Just put my deposit down today, so I dont strictly own a (trophysmall) yet, but...
I looked at a 182 cup a little while ago, but the seats were very uncomfortable. When the Recaros came along, I tried to get a test drive in a cup with them on, but really struggled. Along came the Trophy and...
Depends on your cirumstances. Getting a bank loan will be much cheaper long term, but going with finance plus a balloon payment means you have smaller monthly payments for the first 3 years.
I personally just got back from the same garage having placed a deposit and will be paying balance...
