Think that the last top gear sums it up. The Beemer 130 did very well, but is not a lot of car for £31K. I thought the Cooper works was expensive, but this takes the p*ss at £22K. That price puts you in a different league and you can get much better performance for that sort of cash. The...
So I take it for that speed they're ZR rated then?
I ran Conti's for a good while on previous cars and have never had any issues (other than noticably more road noise: Oh noes)
And now the ice... -9 degrees this morning when I started chipping her out. Didn't hit 5th all the way to work and waved a couple of tailgaters past. Even though it was early doors, 7 cars by the roadside (often in pairs, for obvious reasons) with dinks, dents etc.
The downside with living in...
Yup, next time you're shopping, especially at the bigger supermarket chains, you'll find the ingredients/nutritional info etc of the "own brand" product bear an eerie similarity to the "big label".
One of the few food manufactuers who don't white label their kit is Kellogs, but that's because...
There's a guy on our road who appears to drive a coked up Zanussi with 30K on it. That's what it sounds like when he spends 5-10 minutes cranking it over at 6 in the morning anyway.
I agree with Stromba here, if you know where to look you can get some very cheap clones...
:) Bet it squeaks too.
OMG, I did a bit of Googling for universal models, there are more versions than you can shake a stick at, especially the vee.
They oddly produce huge numbers of models of farm machinery too
I'm bored at work, so thought I'd look:

Plus one for Stromba...
Bit of a dusting in Sheffield centre, bit more the further out of town you get. I'm more worried about the ice and freezing fog to follow. Touch wood, been OK so far, but I think the VVT is going to be getting a little holiday for the time being...
Lille is nice, I just got back from a long weekend. My big tip is to remember which side of the road to drive on #-o
You will be amazed at how many French bods go nuts for the Trophy. I actually went over on the Eurostar, but one of my mates mentioned the car in a pub (he's still buying an...
WeI actualy live between Rotherham and Doncaster, but the other half and I work in Sheffield (Attercliffe, so we don't have to brave the nightmare that is driving through town at the moment)
The STs a nice car, but having had the Trophy for a week, I'm even more convinced I made the right choice. But like I said, choose the car that will fit in best with your circumstances and needs. To get anywhere from where I live, I have to go via twisty B roads, so turn in is a bigger factor...
I personally got the Trophy because the seats in the 182 weren't usable. I'm 6' 2" and myself and the other half have had no issues on 2 hour drives.
Not being funny, but have you tried adjusting them? Took us a couple of trips to get them just right.
The ST is pitched against the Golf GTI, Astra VXR etc, not Cupras and Clios. Different sort of beast really. Does like quite entertaining and I considered one, but having driven the Focus RS and the Fiesta ST, I thought better of it. Good price point though, going to steal a few sales from the...
My advice is, don't get involved in a claim ;)
I worked there 6 or 7 years ago, saw the rot starting to set in and quit.
Same with any insurance, I'll pay a bit extra to have claims dealt with well when people decide to randomly drive into you. NUD used to be entirely UK based, but now has...
Direct line are soooo much cheaper for me, but it does depend on postcode.
It would depress you if I told you what I paid for the year, but I'm <ahem> a touch older and have <touch wood> a clean license.
Although the 2 claims I've had with direct line could have been smoother, I've had a...
I knew about it beforehand, and was quite happy, I even got a bloke at the dealership to crack his head on one of the dem's I drove!
I could live with the "normal" spoiler, but I can equally live with the ducking motion. The V6 spoiler helps disguise the bendy rear screen :)
Just done the first shopping trip in the little darling (full week's shop, plus beer and getting some BOGOF tins of chocs in for Christmas) and have managed to avoid injury - just.
You have to develop a bobbing, ducking motion when packing and unpacking the car to avoid a sharp blow to the...
Sadly I'm training someone at work and can't get over to pick up until Friday :(
Also, the stealers don't do delivery on the weekend as they're "so busy" as a matter of company policy. Bet they sell a lot of Meganes 4 weeks before Christmas :^o
Here's an odd thing, I'm picking my Trophy up on Friday now, but my other half picked the post up today, and I have a V5 from the DVLA for the Trophy with my personal plate on it! I've only paid the deposit so far, tempting...
Has this happened to anyone else? (I was originally...
Yup, being an adopted Yorkshireman, MPG for my day to day driving (as opposed to caning round for fun) is a factor for me too. If I save cash on petrol, I can spend it on handfuls of cold gravel to eat.
I've noted the Sainsbury's 97 RON in my C2 GT (not exactly a track car, but not bad for a...
That's me added, just put it at a roundabout nearby so as not to help the scallies. I'm guessing if bandits come looking for my car, they'll find some other motors first they'll prolly be more interested in!
Come on people, where do you all live?
Yup, I've been warned to look out for splitter presence! My C2 didn't have any tyre foam until I pointed it out, so I'll be looking out for that too. I assume you don't get mats with any RS models, not sure about boot nets or mini tool kits. Wheel nut locks, spare keys, all the manuals, have to...
