I can see why the rule is to fit new tyres to the rear where possible. I have adhered to this before but since I figured the Goodyears on the rear still had about 6mm on them I'd give it a go with new tyres staying on the front.
I've had a few instances of oversteer recently in the cold and...
Higher miles but well maintained would be the best bet to get good value.
Values still have plenty of time to creep up I'd say. I bought mine for £5k at 78k miles, it's now on just over 99k and I think I could get the same back for it.
That still sounds like you'd be taking it to the most expensive place you can find. I was £500 at cornering force and about £600 for both belts, dephaser, water pump and wheel alignment at a Renault specialist. So belts alone would be a good bit cheaper.
Update- just got PS3's in XL guise fitted today, will see how different they feel. Just pressing the sidewall by hand it's obvious how little flex they have in comparison to the Goodyears.
Liked the idea of the AD08R's but on a recent drive over the Cairn O'Mount in cold, greasy conditions, the...
Any joy in the end?
I'm unsure what to go for next, it's between the XL PS3 or the AD08R.
I've had Goodyear Eagles more or less since I got it and although happy with them, lots of people say they're not the best for feel and precision due to being so soft. That's not just Trophy owners but...

Change in work circumstances forces sale.
Car had a Hartech engine rebuild (~£7000) at 54k miles with the previous owner in 2013. Improved IMS bearing was fitted at this time so...
Prying the cover off is easy. The fiddly bit with that is getting the replacement cover back on while keeping the springs and plastic gubbins for the AC and recirculation switches in place. Took me a couple of attempts but it is manageable.
Just remember and check the two buttons work there and...
I bought mine from mossy.
If you're only doing this to replace a badly peeled original then it's far, far easier to pop off the cover of the assembly and just swap them round. Still a bit of a scutter but replacing the whole thing with the fan connection cables etc. at the back looks like an...
I've had similar for a while and am no further forward as all mounts are fine.
Only happens when coming off the accelerator, never when accelerating. I did find a post on the Clio forum when it turned out to be the carbon cannister for someone after going through similar with the mounts.
Yet...
I've owned 2 cars at a time for a while now and I've found the more eclectic the pairing the better. (Trophy and an M5, now the Trophy and a Boxster)
With that many cars I'd be looking for more variation personally, don't see the point in having so many of the same thing. It's nice to be able...
Back to this as the fronts don't have loads left in them.
If I were to replace these with the XL PS3's, would having the other 2 as non-XL tyres (until they wore out) have a detrimental effect?
