I asked the same question almost a year ago and took the advice of the specialist I use (SWR) and opted to change it at the 3 years.
It'll come as a kit with the tensioner from renault.
I think looking at pretty much any car in terms of a real investment is the wrong way to go about things.
In general, I'd say it's the sort of people who won't truly appreciate the cars for what they are that think like that though. Like seeing an F40 that's only done 2k miles and such like.

They're what I got and fit perfectly. Thread...
These days? You make it sound like they're at the bottom of their depreciation! As a percentage I'd say they're worth significantly more than a regular 182, all else being equal.
Mine was £5k on over 70k miles 4 years ago. It's now on over 100k miles and I'd suspect I'd get £5k again for it...
Got the gearbox out just now and a chap on cliosport has refurbished it and the diff, going to chuck a clutch in too given it's stripped that far and over 100k miles.
What are folks thoughts on brands? Sachs is always a safe bet in my eyes but a quick google had a few folk mentioning to stick...
Looks a cracker. May I ask how much you got for it? Given the asking price and selling so quickly I'd assume it's a good indication of values still being on a nice upwards trend.
How often are you forced into changing yours due to corrosion?
The Trophy is a second car but still gets used a few times a week. Regardless, I find the rear discs especially always end up corroding quite badly.
Fronts at the minute are apparently a bit corroded on the inside too, plenty of...
Bit of a follow up here. Not sure how much the injector issue actually had to do with the cruise control now as the EML came on again the other day (not a misfire code but relating to the cat) and it being on does not affect the cruise control at all.
The only other issue I suggested to them at...
Just had the aux. belt kit done at SWR and a few other bits and pieces. Replacing the injectors now leaves me with working cruise control for the first time in 3.5 years.
Interestingly enough it seems that an issue with them while not triggering the EML was enough to stop the cruise from working.
Sounds good in theory but you guys must be doing all right if you can drop £600 for a 'just in case'.
I'll have a bill for about a grand this weekend and that's not the dampers or cambelt!
I was lucky with CF as it was timed conveniently when the powder coater appeared so had them back within a week. Think they said they'd typically be 2-3 weeks though.
