Plugs, leads and coil pack all replaced, apparently running fine. Went to pick it up tonight and when the mechanic went to get the car it was misfiring constantly now- but on cylinder 2 now, not 3.
I'll see how it runs tomorrow but is the fact that a different cylinder is now misfiring...
Would need to double check when the plugs and leads were changed, reckon about 2017 off the top of my head. All injectors and the pre-cat O2 sensor were changed 4 years ago.
My code reader has identified a misfire on cylinder 3 but curious if the symptoms here can point towards anything in particular before I take it to a garage-
Revs with no issue when in neutral only (no load)
Obviously misfires when trying to accelerate in any gear at low revs- happens from...
Mine have sat about for almost 2 years, need to get the finger out and will be sending them to cornering force again.
Other than the wiper seal mod, is there anything else of note to be aware of that may have changed in the last 2 years?
Hmm the rear have just been cleaned up as one was sticking so I'd hope that wasn't contributing. Maybe the fronts need a proper clean as well.
Regarding pads I'm tempted to stick some Pagid ones in, haven't tried them before and they're not expensive.
Three eh? :unsure:/;)
Thank you all for the input. Brake fluid was actually changed at the same time as all discs and pads last summer. Everything bar the front pads is OE Renault, front pads are TRW which I've liked in the past compared with OE Renault. I'd fully overhauled the calipers in...
Does anyone else have issues with braking performance when cold?
Don't get me wrong, I know cold braking is never going to be peak performance but this always happens to me a while after getting the discs and pads changed and is at the sort of level where an emergency stop would look absolutely...
Would be good to see him do a full video but he did write this for Autocar when they came out-

Cheers for that. Any sellers in particular to go for? (or avoid)
As it happens, the garage cleaned up and freed off my rear calipers so won't need any replacements...for now.
Reckon I'll be going the way of Continentals from now on if the Michelins are no longer available.
Despite being Premium Contact rather than Sport Contact they seem to still be regarded as more of a performance tyre that belies the name.
Cheers for this. Just tried mine at 126k miles and it came back at £4875. Unheard of given they've not usually factored in the 'Trophy' element much before.
For comparison I checked a standard 182 with the same details and it came out at £1270.
Result.
Have had a look and prices seem to vary a bit but these seem fairly cheap-

Notice there are a couple each of the Bosch and Exide. Can I go wrong here or am I as well going for the cheaper?
Going to be replacing mine before the winter properly sets in. Having a look online I can only really find threads from years ago.
Is there a current recommended go-to battery for these? I'm imagining an offering from Bosch is a safe bet.
That's quick. Given what these have gone for on Collecting Cars recently I'd not be too hasty in dropping price.
One thing seeing high advertised prices and another thing entirely seeing they're actually selling for high values in an auction.
I'm away to put new front and rear cup shocks on the car for coming into the crap weather soon. Would you specifically recommend only using cup front springs with the cup shocks and not using the trophy springs?
My car is needing the driver side rear replaced and the garage has just been on the phone saying the ones they've ordered don't fit. They've been hearing they're no longer available but are going to phone Renault in the morning.
Can anyone shed any light on this and point me in the direction of...
As you can see/hear in the video, there's a noticeable rattle that appears for a few seconds when first depressing the clutch pedal. This then stops while the clutch pedal is still down.
Had the original clutch replaced 2 years ago at over 100k miles. If it was a release bearing would you not...
