With this combo you need to file a few mm off the pad sides so they are quite loose in the caliper and so don't bind. Also bin the shims.

Nice photo. Would be interesting to compare both set-ups head to head, on road and track. I think I'd prefer to put the £900 towards refurbishing the Sachs.

Just a comment, the Trophy was all about handling not outright power. How about focusing your energy and money on the handling side? Perfect this and you'll carry more speed more of the time. So option 1/2 it is.

thanks for the photo - i cant quite see how far around the nipple it goes... 3/4 of the way around? did you push with your hand or something stronger? did you put some grease in the socket?

It doesn't fit ? How can you secure the boot if the strut is not physically connected?

I've just bought these from SGS - but can't get the metal ball socket to fit even though I've removed the retaining pin. I have pushed it pretty hard, but does it need a hammer!! Any thoughts?

Hi Jules - your current exhaust for me was painful (loud and unpleasant note) to the ears but you seem to like it. I've been in 2 Trophys with the old-style Yozza, and was impressed with how sensible and pleasant they sounded. I also like Prospeed, but a trip to Cardiff is far!
