Evening all!
Resurrecting this thread.
I'm having the clutch done on #167 (gearbox is coming out). Which had me thinking... should I fit an LSD?
Who on here has one? @SharkyUK - how do you find it after a few more years' use on the road?
Thanks Nick - I'd say that's a price for a single spring. Pricey, although they're NLA from Renault...
My understanding is that the rear springs on our Trophys are the same as 182 Cup items. Certainly the original springs on my car have these paint marks.
They also have Trophy front modules with 54mm spacing? Which is a bit weird right?
54mm Trophy Damper
Has anyone had success ordering the 182 Cup rear springs?

I'd be more concerned with each corner being at full rebound, and the bushes loaded for too long in a condition not representative of a design ride height.
Easier to replace tyres than bushes!
Oh no!
Are you close enough to physically go and see if you can get hold of someone?
Other than that, will there be someone in charge of the liquidation?
Let's hope so! Although I wonder how long it would take them to do it ...
Perhaps if I buy some PS3s now, by the time I need to replace them there might be some newer options.
How do you find the PS3s? I've got @where.is.lee 's old car (#167).
I'm thinking in Spring I might switch to the PS3s.... along with a bit of a suspension refresh
Keith James - the chap on the end of the phone was super knowledgeable and actually suggested a value that I was surprised with (in a good way).
He knew about Trophys specifically, which was cause for confidence!
Evening all, hope you're having a better weekend than #167 is!
The car started to overheat after having some other (possibly unrelated) issues:
Stalling at junctions or when dipping the clutch during normal driving
Intermittent OIL STOP light (which has always been a feature of this car as...
Has anyone managed to discover a source of OEM spec aftermarket springs? I have a horrible feeling when mine need replacing there won't be any to refit!
Thanks for your response @EthanMenace - great to hear from someone who's gone down this route!
I'm more tempted to go with the ktec items then. There's a slight sense of bush wear on the front axle, in the sense that on some patches of particularly poor camber with a single wheel input the car...
Hi @mhj360, sorry just seen this message.
Yes, I'd be interested - if you want to PM me (or reply in this thread, either way - I don't mind) with the list and how much you'd be looking for, that would be great!
Thanks
James
Hi @Oracle
Do you think the bush rates in the k-tec parts will match OEM?
My concern is they could be any Clio bushes pressed into that lower control arm. I tried asking k-tec who their bush supplier was, but unsurprisingly I didn't get a reply.
If someone has used these arms, I'd love to...
@evilandy
Parts received! Thank you so much, they looks so shiny and new, it's almost a shame to put them on the car!
Nicely packaged too, I hope you enjoyed emptying the cardboard box to make room for the springs and bushes....
Cheers
James
Afternoon all! Hope you're having a great weekend.
Does anyone have a definitive list of all the Clio Trophy magazine articles? I'd like to start a bit of a collection.
This is the very short list I have so far:
Evo 87
Evo 95
Hi @TonkaTruck, I've just ordered from your eBay shop.
I'd like one red and one black keyring please for #167.
There didn't seem to be the option to state this when adding to basket (although I've included it as a message).
Thanks!
James
