Cheers folks. Just found out that a bloke I know has had some stone chips done by our local guy and says he did an excellent job, so booked him for an estimate over the weekend. The encouraging thing is that he knows what a Trophy is - not a bad start........

As 196 is coming up to the annual Permagard top-up I thought I'd get the stone chips and the tiny dent on the bonnet sorted before getting the treatment done. Has anybody used Chips Away - if yes - good or bad reports? Cheers

All bar three of my wheel nuts have started to rust!! Anybody else had this problem? It looks a total mess - surely they shouldn't be doing this after only three years?!!

I've got a Miltek fitted to 196 mate. Good bit of kit - well made, not too loud and the bigger tail pipes look, in my opinion, better than standard. Now everytime I see a 182 with the standard pea shooter pipes I think it just doesn't look right. Cheers

This sounds like water in the exhaust to me. I used to get a vapour trail too. When I took off the standard exhaust you could hear the water sloshing around inside it. Since the Miltek was fitted there's been no vapour trail and no annoying water spray up the rear window.

I'm sure they'll polish out - they don't look so bad now the initial shock has worn off!! Note to self : Get out of car and walk towards friends with bouncy dogs in future!!

Milltek cat back here too - it's not as loud as the Yozza, but as Jim says it's a lot louder than the standard peashooters.

Agreed Steve, but if like me you haven't got the time or the patience for a full on job it's a great compromise.
