I don't need them fitted, just delivered..
I put 2 PS3's on the front a couple of months after i bought it and they feel a bit soft and wallowy when you chuck it, nowhere near as good as the PE2's, which is why im considering the XL version or another tyre...
So within the next few weeks the Trophy will have reached the point where it needs 4 new tyres, after trawling through a few of the posts on here i can't seem to get anywhere...
Has anyone had experience with running other brands of tyre on their Trophy? if so any recommendations?
If not and i...
Decat makes it sound awesome, definitely far too quiet without! Emissions light has come on once in about 4 months, and that was on a reaaal long drive, code reader for £20 on ebay can reset it, i keep one under my seat!
dunno how they affect noise on a standard exhaust, but on my stainless it made it easily twice as loud and alot angrier sounding!
as for power gains theyre fairly minimal, people reckon a few bhp, alot over on CS say theyre only worth having if the cars mapped to have a decat, that will see the...
Yea quite a bit, i'd imagine if id of dynamatted the entire rear of the car it would of made a bigger difference, but i thought id see how much of a difference just doing the area the seat used to be in!
Before on the motorway it was truely defeaning, but now its alot friendlier, seems alot...
So, some of you may or may not know that i decided to decat my Trophy, and also remove the rear seats and fit harnesses! Sounded amazing but was honestly far far to loud for general use and especially on the motorways! And seeing as it’s a daily car I thought I’d do some soundproofing! So I...
This was my effort and knocking up some polybush ones, powerflex exh-008 cut down to fit tight in the hanger ( not tight enough to make it bow out etc ) and cable tied in place, been on about 4 months now with no signs of wear!
Were they genuine Renault? Or just cheapo ones? I put some cheapo ones on and they were hanging after about 6 weeks, ended up making my own out of some polybushes!!
Judging by the picture from the day you brought it home the exhaust seems to be hanging super low, indicating the exhaust hangers were probably fooked :/
yea look the same as mine! not good!! what state were the hangers in? if the rubber was knackered and it was bouncing around in the metal frame that might not help! I'd give them a ring, pretty sure the lifetime warranty only applies to the original customer but they might be able to help?
I'll put some pics up, its down to the design of the backbox, and whether it has a silenced centre section or not, if they dont have a silenced centre section they become the "super sport" version of either exhaust!
KTR / Janspeed "Ultra Performance"
KTR / Janspeed
which ktec exhaust is it? I've got the "ultra performance super sport" version on mine, had no problems with it, seems pretty well made and sits real nice ( on my homemade exhaust mounts )
mine went from around £440 to £860 with 7 years driving and 6 no claims. After many hours of searching and adding both my parents on as named drivers i managed to get it back down to £560, still an unwelcome increase on last year!!
99p From "Renault Centre" on Ebay

Had this trimmed at a place local to me, very similar colour match with black stitching ( was gonna go red but thought it might look out of place without any other red bits ) and stock thumb grips ( will be covered when they start to fall apart.
Anyway, a few pics...
Mine has a Renault Reading sticker in place of the Elf one...soon to be removed.
Personally i wouldn't bother, window looks much tidier without, or maybe just with a ClioTrophy.co.uk sticker :p
The V6 is the only Clio that has the washer mod to stop them knocking, the Trophy along with 182's and 172's feature standard unmodified top-mounts. Fitting STM's certainly reduces the problem but doesn't elimate it entirely, although the car does feel alot better after fitting them imo
Yea they feel fine, just if you decide to do is this way make sure you cut the rubber bush down enough so it doesnt bow in the hanger otherwise it will just pop itself out, you want it just enough so its a tight fight, and get outdoor cable ties and replace them every so often, other than that...
Can this be changed from 4 to say 10? Got annoyed with having to post threads in 2 parts to get all the pics in, and sometimes it can't count properly, i had 4 images in a post and it said i had 5 and couldnt post it, weird!
I also got fedup with the Renault exhaust mounts, and how a brand new set only seemed to last about 3 – 4 months before they decided it was time to wear out and perish!! So some powerflex exh-008 exhaust rubbers, some old OE hangers ( courtesy of BigDaveTrophy ) a hacksaw and drill later I had a...
So its been a while since I’ve posted anything, and seeing as me and a mate of mine had enough energy to clean our cars yesterday I thought I’d do a little update with some pictures of the recent additions to #333. Although I won’t bore you with millions of pictures of my Trophy all clean, as...
Some of you may or may not know when i bought my Trophy renault had replaced is failed V6 boot struts with standard 182 boot struts, as a result my spoiler rubbed on the roof annoying wearing it down a bit :(
Well i did alot of searching around on Cliosport for a set for a sale and spoke to...
