oh right i had a little pull but i couldn't feel any "tabs" but i didn't want to pull too hard because there is an airbag under there . Its just really odd because occasionally wen pressing it i get a half hearted "pap" so its not fully disconnected. Maybe a dealer issue me thinks. Thanks
Dan
Halfrauds sell a digital tyre pressure gauge for about £5-£7 ive got one and so has my mate who's got a DC2 and when he had his wheels aligned the bloke said his pressures were spot on so they must be fairly accurate.
I have to say i agree with power ranger they do look impressive in the flesh. If i remember rightly there was one at the annual trophy meet which looked pretty special. and the likes of Evo and PC raved about them on their first drives. Although i dont think they're quite as special as the Trophy.
I was in a similar situation but the insurance for me on a DC5 would have been astronomical but i have to say im really impressed with my T.
There's an impressive assortment of cars in the pics, very impressive :D
I think £2300 sounds about right i insured mine this month for £2011 and im 20 with 2 years NCB. I spent ages looking and tried most of the insurers already mentioned. Admiral was cheapest everytime apart from performace direct but they said i needed to have been driving a similar spec car...
i did the same the other day on the motorway with CC on at 70mph and was getting around 50 mpg. Now after a few days of town driving and a couple of B road blasts its sitting at about 31 mpg.
Right then, ive had it looked at and it was the heat shield. It was pretty much what tonto said about replacing the washers with bigger ones so it was just a 2 minute job in the end.
Thanks for all the info guys,
I've had a look underneath and im fairly sure its the heat shield but not being very good mechanically i'm not 100%. I've asked a friend to have a look who's a mechanic so i'll see what he says. Then i'll update you all later.
Dan.
Hi all.
I picked up my trophy the other day and i've now noticed a faint metalic rattling sound between 3000 and 3500 revs it's hard to tell where it's coming from from inside the car but i'd guess somewhere towards the front. any ideas would be much appreciated the car is standard if that...
oh right well i may be wrong but i know with my old megane the blip definately turned it off and it had a very similar key although it wasn't thatcham approved so that may be the difference.
