Ah ok this is the braided ceramic seal that goes at the rear of the subframe at start of the tunnel at the front rather than after O2 sensor, are they same fixings?
Does anybody know the part no.s for the fitting kit immediatly after O2 sensor where front pipe fits the cat? Checked on my T and and only one side a a longer bolt with spring in the middle, the other side appears to be a shorter stud. Is this right?
I know this may have been asked before, what tyres were on the Trophy as OE when new? The Toyo's on the front of mine are rather worn so will replace these soon, thinking of getting close to original tyres perhaps with slightly updated version/tread pattern.
Thats not a bad deal, found this awesome deal on ebay though, 5 Litres of genuine ELF Evolution 900 SXR 5w-40, genuine Renault oil filter and sump washer £27.00 delivered!!! Dont need any at the moment just cant ignore such a deal for a lube service. They do some deals on other service packages...
Have spoken to my local Renault Dealership down the road from work, getting genuine Front (Clio 182 Extreme Pack) wheel bearing, and rear wheel bearing trade £114.00 for the pair. Getting Lemforder track rod ends from Euro Car Parts as £41.00 a side from Renault is abit more than I can spend at...
Thanks guys, great info. Thinking of going for a pair of Lemforder track rod ends, oe supplier to Audi/VW is good enough for me (I work for VW). Do Lemforder make the OE Renault track rod ends? Want to get genuine bearings, is it possible the garage fitted a pattern part thats wrong size on...
Thanks fella, thinking of buying genuine front wheel bearing, probably rear too then Lemforder track rod ends and see how it goes from there as put genuine rear wheel bearings on my 172 fullfat I had before the Trophy and they lasted better than the others.
Need to replace a few bits on the Trophy to make sure its sorted with the MOT getting closer. Have had a rumble around 30-40 mph and now I need to replace both near side wheel bearings. The Trophy had brand new rear discs/pads/bearings in December just before I bought it, in my ownership since...
Saw this one for sale on ebay just before I bought mine, was in High Wycombe/Buckinghamshire area was put off with lack of sachs and stolen recovered with 4 keys and no history. Was up for £4k for a 65,000 mile car though just glad I bought mine with 65,000 miles rebuilt sachs, nearly full...
Thought the stereo had sounded abit quiet in the back ever since i bought the car, discovered there are no rear speakers! Went to fit some coax's and found a beige and pink wire on passenger side, and a beige and brown wire on the drivers side.
Any ideas which is positive and which is negative...
Welcome Vincent, great pictures of some rare cars! Love the R11 Turbo, I also have a 1986 R11 Turbo, 1990 Renault 5 Gt Turbo Raider (Alain Oreille) and a Clio 182 Trophy so think I may have the virus too! The French make some excellent cars ;-)
Defo requires a message to the seller as to is there a service book, whats been done in the book, services/belts/sachs should be all upto date for that kind of money, looks fine in pictures.
Fitted the Magnetti Morelli ones today, very slightly longer however can not notice, was careful about how far tailgate was going up as conscious of touching roof. Anyways, did not touch and do the job spot on!
Does certainly look a poor old thing in the pictures, a good thorough clean would make a big difference then there's all the parts to be fixed/repaired,and required to get it MOT'D. Really would be a money pit espicially with paint work, no history so belts & sachs would need doing, full service...
