For the first time ever, the Clio has broken down, I think it’s either a driveshaft or clutch. It wouldn’t let me start it in gear so guessing driveshaft, not good timing by the trophy as I lost my job last month!

    New Suspension All Round?

I went the Mark Fish springs after breaking the original fitted one, the car is lower by approx 10mm on the front, I like the new set up it’s still very much in character to the car, very lively and maybe a bit more mobile at the back under hard breaking etc.

Going from a more powerful car to a Trophy?

I really enjoyed reading this thread (I couldn't contribute as my Trophy is still the most powerful car I've owned) Ive owned it since new had numerous opportunities to 'upgrade' but decided to keep it as a second car, for me its perfect power to weight to dimension to grip has always been spot...

Slowly falling back in love with this thing!

not harsh teeth falling out, compliant and on its toes, it seems to exaggerate the angle that the front is lower by compared to the back as well

182 Trophy, worth the extra dosh over a 172 Cup?

I traded in my 172 cup to get the trophy, I always thought the 172 engine was better than the 182, my cup had no ABS so I did have a few scary island incidents! In general I thought the 172 is great fun and just a bit lacking the finesse offered by the trophy’s handling when pushed. If I was in...

    Alpine

I know this was posted a long long time ago, but I’m getting quite obsessed by the new A110, it is one of the very few cars in recent years that have really caught my imagination, can’t wait to see one on the road, and find out the current trade in figure for various body organs. :)
