    Recommended Polish etc.

There are better options out there, and as with so many things you can pay more and get a 'better' product. AG SRP does a job, as does something like AutoFinesse Tripple. Before you polish have a good read-up on preparing the paintwork (decontaminating with some like CarPro IronX, de-tarring...

Spotted on Hanover Street / Queen Street Gardens East. Friday 23rd June at 5pm. First Trophy spotted north of the border and I'm only here for two days. (y)

"Coming soon" has started wearing a bit thin. Shame, I think there's still a market for the RS2.

I've got a spare set you're welcome to borrow if you're local to Newbury (RG14). And Rentadamper is born!

What's the mileage and owners situation? That might sway my decision.

182 Trophy rolling shell with v5 for sale

Without the Recaros it might be impossible to answer that question.

    027/500 for sale

Good luck with the sale, for what it is that seems keenly priced. For those that might be interested, where are you located?

    Trophy seeking travels ?

I took a trip to Horwich near Bolton for mine. 400 mile round trip and I ended up leaving a deposit but it was the first T I looked at and I wasn't intending to buy so had nothing in place. A week or so later I made the same journey except on the way back I was driving #455 and my Pa had to...

    Trophy(ish) registration plates

I've been after a couple of plates for 6-9 months now, and have just got off the phone with a nice chap at the DVLA. I made an enquiry online months and months ago, and nothing at all. The guy just now confirmed that the plates I was interested in had never been issued and my requests were in...

    Smaller Steering Wheel Options

Alternative to a phase 1 stalk with a horn button on the end is an adapter bracket with buttons - horn and cruise can be retained. Josh Gault on the CSOC Facebook group makes them in his spare time. I picked mine up today :)

    Debate time: What's best - 182 Trophy or V6?

I'd love to take part in a Veekender, that would be amazing!

037 looking for a new home

I'd much rather buy a car advertised properly, rather than on eBay. Get it on Pistonheads and/or Autotrader with a well-written, thorough and comprehensive description, combined with some decent photographs and it'll sell itself.

    Rear shock absorbers

My original Sachs rears were replaced with off-the-shelf Koni adjustable items, and I've adjusted them to match my driving style.

Dave, you could try Barrie Plant in Bicester, I believe he's clued-up in all things Renaultsport.

    2118 -what tyre size

Hi Chris, I rate AD08Rs in 195/50/15, however, I appreciate they're a road tyre focussed on dry grip. Can be had for sub-£200 I believe (delivered, not fitted).

Greenlight - No more agreed valuations

I see what you're saying but others have really struggled having that very same argument. I'm not aware it's worked out well for anyone, and I think Dan even went to the ombudsman. Fortunately I have an agreed value policy but to each his own. Let's just all agree not to crash then it becomes...

Greenlight - No more agreed valuations

So do you have a specific agreed value policy, or market value? If the latter and the worst happens then it appears it gets even worse as you try to argue the value of your car. There have been at least two threads in the past ~18 months where Trophy owners have had massive issues getting...

    Daily?

My 5 mile round trip commute is usually on foot so the car is mostly tucked away but when it does get driven it gets driven hard! I feel sorry for these cars that see hundreds of miles of dull (straight) dual carriageways and motorways each month, the Trophy is so capable. At least if you do...

    Tyre conundrum

Depends on your requirements. Tyres are a compromise between price, dry grip, wet grip, longevity, aesthetics, track use and plenty of other factors. Michelin Pilot Sport 3 (with stiffened side wall) are often considered a good all-rounder, if you can source any. But there are other options if...
