To compare a 172 Cup which has had a huge refresh of handling-impacting components to a Trophy which hasn't will only give one result.
Doing a similar front-end refresh on the Trophy including track rods, track rod ends, wishbones, lower ball joints, ARB bushes and steering rack bushes will...
I ordered mine from fancyplates.com as show plates - completely plain without any markings. Even with the markings I believe they are still illegal.
There is a useful guide here:

Not planning on going any further north than Oxford before September ;)
If you move them on sooner then don't hold out on my account. If you've still got them in August or whenever you're heading down south then by all means let me know and maybe we can sort something out. Cheers
ABC Detailing (www.abc-detailing.co.uk) is a guy called Andy who owns a racing blue 200. He's often seen at Castle Combe Action Days and the like, and the car is stunning, I simply don't have the vocabulary to describe the depth of shine...
I don't know anyone who has used him professionally...
Alpine CDA-117ri
Can't remember details of the Alpine lead, I bought it from a fellow 182 owner for ~£70 I think but that's what allows the controls.
No pics I'm afraid, the car is away at the moment.
I upgraded to an Alpine HU which retained stalk controls and display, plus a set of amped 16.5cm components, but it just wasn't enough, so I then added an under seat sub. It doesn't give the levels of bass that a boxed boot driver would, but that was never the intention. What I do have is a...
Queen's Square in Bristol - xth Sunday morning each month. Check out their Facebook posts and pictures - they attract a very eclectic selection of cars, and some very nice stuff. Still haven't made it to one yet, for which I have no excuse.
I don't see any drawbacks Alan, either with a Fatty or a K-tec option - fit, enjoy, and when the time comes you can either revert or retain with no great shakes.
£11k and on 59k miles, but does include many spares, including 7 Trophy Turinis. That tickled me.
Does Dawn know about this one, surely it'd be perfect for her?
I'd be interested to know the reason for sale - I though Marc was a serial collector given the Trophy's stablemate(s)
I currently have an agreed value with Greenlight, although I can't remember how much for.
If I remember correctly, there wasn't much scope for a truly personalised value, the value was the same as other Trophys with similar mileage/spec, nevertheless I was happy with it.
If you're not massively OCD or competing in show & shine and near the Midlands I'd consider City Powder Coaters in Birmingham. Cheap and cheerful at £20 per corner you could afford to have them done every 12 months for 4 years for the same price as a proper painted job.
I've had plenty of...
Hi Ant,
I'm not sure if you're on Facebook or not but there's a group called Clio Sport Owners Club, with many helpful folk and some master techs with vast experience.
I'm not saying you won't get help here but if you cast your net a bit wider and post this on there you're sure to get at least...
The F4R is a naturally aspirated engine that costs a lot to extract power from it. As Mikey mentioned, the engine is the same in all 182s and this subject is covered extensively on cliosport.net so worth a look.
The KTR induction kit is definitely worth trying to experience first hand, it's not...
Some ideas from me...
CarPro 'IronX' and 'Tardis' will help in the preparation stages, along with a clay + lube combination.
Autoglym 'High Definition' wax is easy to use and gives decent results with Capsicum Red.
Auto Finesse 'Mercury' is an option for bringing exhaust tips back to life...
