    How much is it worth?

You mentioned the Xenons and there is no mention of the word Trophy, that was why he asked. Have you got a link to the advert? You can often pick up a lot about the owners of cars from how the advert is written. I know it is a bit judgmental, but it has not let me down in the past. The one...

Fix it, engine refurb or give up....?

If it were mine I would take it to my nearest specialist (519 Automotive for me). From what I have read/heard and learnt from other peoples problems is that some garages seem to get something wrong on these engines quite regularly. I am not saying that your friends garage does not know what it's...

    RSTuner - significant MPG decrease

On a 3 and a bit hour motorway journey mostly on cruise control at about 57-60 mph I managed 41.2mpg. Unbelievably boring but economical. Usual day to day trips to work and back, with a few quick drives here and there, I average about 32mpg. I have no RS tuner map on it but I can't see the...

    CAT Options

From what you are describing it sounds like the bolts have worked loose and the metal top hat bush that sits in the manifold flange has dropped out. You get replacement top hat bushes if you get a new joint kit.

189 Long Awaited Suspension 'Refresh' (not dampers)

Have you got a list of part numbers for all of this? I fancy doing the same to mine. Are these Lemforder ball joints standard?

    Newun

I feel sorry for you buddy, but it sounds like you were about to do some big changes to it anyway. So, chin up and get it back on the road if you can. Watch out for changeable road conditions in the future. Good luck :)

    TRS towing straps

Just had a quick look at that guide and I would mount it differently. The way it is currently mounted will create a moment about the head of the bolt, which could stretch the hole in the metal plate as it is pulled, and may even shear the head of the bolt clean off. I think that it should be...

    clicks.....

    1) Turn anticlockwise (un-screw) until it stops. Don't go crazy on it though I would imagine its relatively easy to strip threads on these things. You will be able to feel when it won't go any further. 2) Turn clockwise (screw in) counting each click as you go. Remember 22 clicks is standard...

So, who has the most standard Clio Trophy on here?

Can you have "most standard", surely its least modified? ;) I have the following: Yozzasport cat back exhaust Eibach camber adjustable bolts Pipercross air filter Variable speed wiperstalk Small Trophy sticker on bonnet 006/500 on boot PE2's Front PS3's Rear

    clicks.....

I have mine set to 24 which is fine for me. I drove to the Chester meet last year and back again with the girlfriend who has back issues sometimes from two crushed vertebrae from a previous accident and the car recieved no complaints from either occupant. We both knew it was a stiffly...

    Update 164

Where did you get the lightened flywheel from? I had a go in an PS13 which had one and it made a significant difference.

Will we be getting our Trophy owner status back?

    Gutted

That is very unlucky. Get it all repaired as soon as possible and you will quickly forget it ever happened! :D:up: If you leave it there in a sorry state it will only make you feel more glum.

    Sad times!

I'm with Jon.G on this one, the lower back support is much better on the trendlines. I have not been on track yet in either seat but I felt more comfortable when my back was fully supported and I wasn't hunched over. I do feel that the side bolsters could do with being a bit bigger as I'm...

    Newun

Welcome to the site! I know it was only £550, but did you ask the seller if it was straight before you bought it? Or will it just be broken up and sold as Dave says? I'm sure you can recuperate your outlay just by selling the major organs of the car if you needed to.

    New front tyres?

Yes, definitely. Its handy having the two on the car at the same, very easy for comparison.
  28. hodgy21

    New front tyres?

Ahh! I didn't bother trying to actualy buy any! As I said before, I was pretty certain I couldn't find any anywhere. The PS3 has been around for a while now and I would imagine that all remaining stocks of the PE2 have dried up with the odd exception of a second hand one here and there. I put...

    new to trophy.....

I guess somebody would come along at some point and suggest the Yozzasport cat back system at some point, so it might as well be me :p. It is a system which is considered by some to be 'too loud', however I have shown to a few people that it is perfectly quiet when using it day to day. At idle...
